    Widening Wheels

Thats a set price per wheel regardless, thats what i understand it to be anyway. Cheers for the link - the max you can legally widen steel wheels according to that lvvt link is 76mm on a wheel over 10inches in diameter. Does anyone know what width tyre range I could get on a 7.5 inch rims?
  5. None of it is a direct bolt on. The Rx7 crossmember is no use at all. Brakes - maybe with backing plates and other mods. Fuel pump - probably not. If you're going NA carby motor then obviously it will be way too high pressure. If EFI NA maybe. If EFI Turbo - maybe if its standard which is unlikely so again probably not.

    Widening Wheels

Sorry, tried searching but didnt find that for some reason.... Price update as at October 05 for anyone wondering; - Arrow Wheels in Auckland send them to Elite Wheels in Chch to get done. About $100 - 120 per wheel including freight. - Elite Wheels Chch charge $90 for 1, $120 for 2, and $200 for 4. All plus GST. So - $101.25, $135, $225.
  7. I've heard of people widening factory steel wheels... Has anyone done this? Is it street legal? How much did it cost? Looking to get my factory 14s widened to get a bigger tyre on there.
  8. Just had a look at the workshop manual and the figures i stole above are correct. Also from the manual; "Apply Loctite..." - Good idea "Assuming that most home mechanics will not have a torque wrench hich will read this high, you can achieve thi figure by using a length of pipe over your torque wrench. 100 pounds of torque applied 3 1/2 feet from the nut will give a torque equal to 350 pounds" - Pretty good idea too
  9. Yeah they are real tight mother fkers! Heaps of fun taking them off!
