  3. oh yea white roof too haha, got the column shift all in and sorted too . But yea need to repaint roof as I got given the totally wrong white to what i wanted but oh well, ill get that sorted soon. Also pulled the tints off reckon it looks way better without them
  4. fuck yea was just commenting to E how a baznazza would go down a treat right now. Oh and on a LOL note, when i was taking photos of the wagon outside the fort 3 rotas drove past and someone yelled "put some modgies on it!!!!"
  5. hmm look differant in real life from photos, maybe im just still getting used to them haha. I think they look best with cap and ring, keen to mash a cream/light pastely yellow on them, could look heaps sweet
  6. got wheels on today, the primer actually looks alright! man its so much higher with these wheels, the tyres are 195/55/15s, sorta keen to go lower profile but am also keen for large rolling diameter for better ratios etc... anyways

  8. yea hard as with no tyre on and not on wagon. Ive got some 195/55/15s that im guna chuck on tomorrow and go from there. Still gota decide on colour and size of tyre too as I want to get white walls put on once ive made tyre choice
  9. Look what just turned up on my doorstep finally!!! so what do you guys think, which of these do ya reckon will best suit the wagon??
  10. just talked to the driveshaft guy and he reckons the tube is too small in diameter. because it is a long 1 piece at high rpm the driveshaft will bow too much in the middle and this will happen haha. So getting it redone in 3 inch pipe should be much better Im only painting the roof for the moment, guna paint it white
  11. anyone got any theories as to why my driveshaft fell apart??? the only thing I can think of is that it wasnt balanced correctly. There is a balance weight missing but it could have come off then it shat itself. Makes driveshaft loops seem a lot more important

  13. so pretty much just been rolling it since I got it. I got sick of the diff leak so pulled the diff out and put all new bearings and seals in and painted everything up all perty, I also replaced the inner tie rods as they were getting pretty sloppy! I was driving it out to the shed yesterday arvo so I could do some work on it and decided id give it a bit of a fang and it didnt go so well haha So thats it off the road till I get a new driveshaft made haha. My column shift shit arrived from australia so I put that in today, fits sweet but will need custom linkage to make it work with the trans. I also pulled the tints off and all the roof trim, racks etc so I can get it ready to paint. My wheels turn up from the states on the 14th so im hoping I can get them before xmas, fingers crossed. I ended up going with 15x8, 0 offset steels with beauty rings and hubcaps, are exactly like the pic below. Havnt decided what colour im guna paint them yet was thinking a pale yellow? what you guys think?? anyway ill throw some more pics up when im out the shed next

  19. So I had a spare 1JZGTE from my soarer n me n spence thought it'd be a great idea to build a drag car for shits and giggles so he scored the trueno shell off his uncle. Not much has happened to it yet, ive started stripping the interior, but im hoping to get the engine out to the shed this weekend so i can measure it up and cut the firewall and tunnel. Its a rear sump and the plan is to sit the sump behind the crossmember which will put it back quite far through the firewall but should be doable. then make a new crossmember that mounts the steering rack on the front. Weve got a short hilux diff to go into the rear and will run the factory auto for the moment, with a few mods.
  20. so with going overseas and buying millions of other cars this poor thing has sat neglected for ages now. BUT... As soon as I clear some space in the shed I plan on bringing it down and cracking back into it. It needs a fair amount of rust removal and im still undecided on what I want to do with it haha. I have contemplated cutting up the chassis and running soarer double wishbone subframes but who knows, im always changing my mind haha
  21. Hey boes, so for those of you that dont know I bought my old wagon back off Dan. Ive got a lot of things that I want to do to it but for the moment I just want to get it ready for summer cruising as me n spencer are planning on lots of road tripping in crown wagon convoy configuration. Anyway so short term plans are Paint the roof white paint the tailgate green again make some wide steels up for it tidy up a few bits on the interior possibly remove the tints change radiator and fan setup sounds fix rear main leak fix diff leak make brakes a bit better change to column shift more wof n reg So this is what it looks like sitting in my driveway. and this is what it looked like before I sold it to Dan... Those are the steels I made for the blue wagon (spencers) on it, I think im guna make another set and get them powdercoated silver or something, not sure yet. The exhaust hangs down quite badly, was obviously a quick job from the conversion, so im guna make a mandrel bent system from the downpipe back (for the moment, im keen to make extractors for it later down the track) with a flowmaster copy muffler in front of the diff. Not sure if i should go 2 or 2.5 inch, 2 would be easier but 2.5 would probably be better for it
  22. yes you should have just called me dick haha. first of all i would check fluid level... how are you checking it jarred? you should be quickly dipping it at idle after youve been for a good drive in it, it doesnt matter if its a little bit overfull but dont run it low. second, cooler. the only way the cooler could have done anything is if it was a second hand one that had crap in it but im pretty sure you bought a new one ay? So if the fluid is fine the only other things it could be is either sticky valves or hard seals.
