  1. yeah but pizza has double wishbone suspension with springs in the middle - makes it hard to get to with spring compressors I'm guessing.
  2. I saw this heading south into wellington while I was heading back up on Saturday morning/lunch last weekend - looking mint.
  3. microsoft powertoys has a free image resizer if that helps haha. anyway, nice transformation from stock green grand dads car to what you have now.
  4. Sweet I wonder if the local VTNZ has the same deal too. Luckily I know the previous owner of my Viva well so I can drag him down to the VTNZ with me.
  5. ended up booking it into elders garage, forgot about him - he's sorted me out in the past.
  6. nah, just not rich I went to beaurepairs for the Eterna and it was $69 - I'm sure they were only like $50 or so, and they didn't even bother making adjustments to the rear.
  7. where's the best place in hams to get a wheel alignment? somewhere cheap preferably cheers
  8. seats are pretty average - they sit pretty high. typical 70s vynil seats really.
  9. My first modification: A Mitsubishi coil with ballast resistor - temporary until I find a non-ballast resistor coil for cheaps. Massive engine that is the 1256cc: OS represent! Next up is give it a full inspection and tidy things up ready for a re-vin. There has been a previous rust repair on the A pillar I'll smooth over with bog and respray. There's a clunking noise coming from the rear when you put power down suddenly, and the exhaust is leaking somewhere before the first muffler.
  10. yeah 4x101.6mm (4"). Some minis are the same PCD I think? plans are to lower it, find some better wheels, whitewalls or flappers, retro roofracks etc. On another note, that crashed viva owner wants $750 for it - pretty much not keen. I could find a bloody mint viva for that money I'm sure.
  11. sweet bro cheers - I went there today after work but no one was home
  12. It's definitely 4 by 4" which is 101.6mm.
  13. thanks guys. Yeah surely GM would have known how shit and unreliable these cars would have been - they could have at least put towing eyes on it
  14. Don't have interior pics yet - it's full of junk from the previous owner still. I've had other non mitsis a toyota I still have and a subaru of all things.
  15. ** DISCUSSION THREAD - //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/22867-fuels-1973-vauxhall-viva/ ** I'm not sure what I've got myself into yet... was gifted a 1973 HC Vauxhall Viva 2 door sedan in 'lime green II' from a mate. 1256 has problems, reg is dead etc. But hey it's a free car. Seems pretty straight and rust free. Paint isn't bad for its age either. Bonnet has had a half-assed attempt at being painted black. Plans are to get the engine running (not getting spark at the moment), put it through re-registration process to get it all road legal, and then find some wheels, flappers or whitewalls and slam it and use as a daily as the MIVEC loves drinking fuel.
  16. My new rims I picked up - 15x6.5" - will do for a second set for trackdays or even road rims. One wheel needs a buckle fixed and all need a general tidy up.
  17. I probably wont head up until early afternoon (like 1ish), I think D Donna and Boe-rad are keen to come up with me for the afternoon and jet back before 8ish.
  18. Have no idea yet eh. I was only planning on going up for a day but it seems not alot are going up and the ones that are, are going in the afternoon. All I need to do is collect some wheels from Sylvia park and maybe visit some pickaparts and go to Kumeu for a little while.
  19. dunno eh, only decided I was going to go just before I would probably go when anyone else from hams goes or something. Roadtrip on *edit* what time is the 21st? On sat night eh?
  20. yeah I might roll up too - have some reeyums to pick up
