The small wheels are a bit punishing on gravel. I was usually the last one in any time we stopped. But I did this ride both ways on Ronnie the Honda Dio.

Basically yeh 50cc scoot is only option, it seems reliable enough / have never tested it long distance ... 

Will discuss the idea again with the wife and see if I can make it along.  

Just how punishing / terrible is this on a 50cc scoot?

Yep you're right, no filter on those ones.  I do have one, just didn't put it in the bag that day!

Used to live down the road from my old place in Papakura, have pics of it in here a few pages back no doubt.

Yeh give a FB rotary page a try.  Plenty out there, $1-200 should have you covered.  You'll probably end up with a complete strut though as most would just want to get rid of the complete set up I'd imagine.

Cert for adjustable suspension, bolt in job, oh and wheels not factory also.

Will the certifier be going over the entire car to check other things?  Or is that left for WOF inspections?
