  1. Why are you putting silvertop rods in it? Black top and Silvertop rods should be the same... If you wanna put a 4age in an eskie it doesnt matter how much work it takes coz youd want a 4age eskie. If you just want a 4age, buy a car with one standard . the blacktop rods are weaker than slivertop and the others 4ages yeh i already have a factory 4age AE82 fxgt and im puttin the blacktop in cuz it came from my other ae82 I meant for the other guy, not you. should have made it clearer

With the exception of a few things... And as mentioned earlier, thanks to intial d they are all insanely expensive. Thinking of selling me AE85 coz i cant be fucked paying 750 bucks for a freaking T50 or 500 for a goddamn FWD bluetop.

  4. You dont just need a T50. You can also use K50's out of AE85's (Cheaper but not quite as strong obviously) or you can get a Niteparts W5* to A Series bellhousing and get a W55 or W58 or something.
  5. Should sell me it for my AE85 Conversion. For a T50, RWD TVIS Manifold, Drive shaft and Engine mounts... youd be looking at about 1500 right there. Maybe thats a bit steep. but the T50 with A Series bellhousing goes for about 600 these days, a genuine AE86 TVIS Manifold goes for about 250. the driveshaft can be an AE85 item, still abut 50 bucks. and an AE85/86 Crossmember with mounts can be around 250 too.. If the Block isnt a genuine AE86 RWD block you will also need a RWD water pump (Off a 3AU or anyother RWD A Series engine) and the odd Pulley made up.
  6. yep forget carbs and turbos I don't know how many times I keep saying it people just can't resist finding out for themselves lol. Well I found out for myself and it was fine never had to fuck with it at all. But yeah injection if far better and I'm doing that now. Yours isnt intercooled tho is it?
  7. Perhaps you should check out custom fuel rail and shit like RT, you know. Computer and all. Carbs are shit for turbos. just ask zep haha.

  11. Im pretty sure the outcome of the last topic was that it was same engine. But I have talked to a guy from Welly ford since last topic. The facelift mondeo duratech engine IS the same as the mazda 6 engine. yeah. its for idiots who dont want to buy japanese cars like mazda so they buy a car built on the same platform with the same engine with a different name/shell. but like i said, ive heard nothing but shit about mondeo's.

  13. Ive seen nothing that states it.. the Mazda v6 in the millenia was a Miller cycle engine. But see nothing on the Mazda6. A lot of toyota engines are now Atkinson cycle..

Atro's Zetec is using a type9 so i guess its true. the MPS is a bit newer than his obviously but its the same basic design Mazda call it a MZR ford call it a Duratec23 with the turbo MPS engine being called a DHE-423 They dropped the Zetec because this one is better. So most fords now come with a japanese engine. Apparently the Aston Martin V12's are made from the same design and shares some components... no wonder they kick ass.
  17. Because the New Mazda6 MPS engines are just that. NEW. any idea how much one of them suckers would cost if you could even get your hands on one. In 5-10 years I will be building one into a ford or Mazda. When they get cheaper. Im sure you could get a crashed front cut on the cheaps.. would be wicked tho.

  24. I say ditch the pinto. I dont reckon you bother with a SR tho. Who isnt putting SR's into things these days? ditto for Lexus v8s. 7MGEU out of a Toyota Supra. Or a 1JZGE Both use W5* boxes standard, Straight 6's are the best engines ever. and both have turbos. Capri's have a nice long nose, Take advantage of that and dump a 6 in it Even a L28ET out of a 280ZX would be sweet. VG30DETT or VG20DET out of a 300ZX/Maxima. Heaps of fun.
