    have you tried a "high flow" thermostate? i had the same problame and ended up getting one and it helped.Didnt fix the problam but keept the temp about 20 degrees cooler in all conditions
  3. i wouldnt be so sure, i know in the EX lancer that they have to sit horizontal.Somthing to do with the ball valves in them or some shit
  4. have you looked at using the side draft manifold off the 4g32 (1600 lancer).Im sure the manifolds are the same, and im pretty sure someone somwhere makes the sidedraft manifolds for the 1600.Redline maybe? Those ones on the link wll be for the 4g5X series motors. And lowlancer, i went and had a look at that celest, had no mirrors but did have a good lovour in it.Car was rusty as too.i txt you bout it b4. CHur

  7. Where did you get thiose GSR rear lights with the chrome?Didnt know they made em.Makes it nice and different tho huh. So many modded EX lancers cruising round now aye.Im desperate to make mine "different" without going all ricey
  8. im gonna put twin webers on ity anyway.Maybe early next year. Solex/makuni with there vacuum secondaries are to gay for me.I dont wonna go side draft and wonna kinda keep things in the "period".so this is my best option.makes the engine bay look fuller if thats all.Goes alittle better too and uses way more gas witch is kool........... HAHA!!!!!!!!
  9. got the wheels for $300 with 3month old tyres.cant lose on that one. Also im ditching the weber thing as i have found a twin carb manifold and carbs from a GSR. VERY REAR!!! was like 19 ever in nz.I have number 16.Holla that.Gonna try putting them on 2day.
  10. dont compress standard springs.They are so shit.Throw some sigma shocks in the front and compress them at least!!. i say go wit some super low kings, and mirage shocks in the rear if ya cant get anything captive.Will be much better in the long run.If you get a half desent spring/shock set up these lil things handle mean as. Im gonna compress my springs alittle coz i dont have enough travel and when cornering hard the inside wheels come off the ground.hehe. Looks kool and is good for getting her sidways but cant take corners as hard as i would like.Is fine if i have 4 ppl in the car tho...

  12. hahaha, man this is so gay.Seen so many issues with the EXs and the like and LSDs. i was going to bye that LSD for the standard EX diff, but the guy was fucken me round.Im sure it was just a l200 one aye. l200 diffs bolt into the colts etc, i knew a guy with a colt who seid he had done it, but he was a cock so he could have been talking out his ass. The sigma diff will bolt in as its been seid, but im not sure about the drive shaft either,but this is gonna be my next mod.Was gonna go for the sigma turbo rear but i cant be fucked.The drum are alot bigger on the sigmas, and its still only the rear brakes, they dont do jack. Does anyone know if the diff housing is the same size in the sigma diffs as the 1800GSRs ? starion LSDs will fit the GSR but have to machine some thing...some bearing i think.Also heard that thge rear LSD from a 4wd libero will fit. good luck
  13. well if you have the standard 1200 shocks then the same springs in the front as well, or if you have the GSR, sigma or starion shocks use the kdrl-50 king springs.They outa 320i e30 bmws, and starlets i think.......

  15. ive got the best setup i could ask for now.Its bloody perfect!!. They are king spring lows, code# KMFL-06 ( I think they are the same as the front kings for an LA lancer),with KYB high pressure mirage shocks. Tis awsome

  19. haha,yeah the EX wheels sucks ass.Damn i never thought about leaving the nut on, i chipped a tooth once with the cunt of a thing hitting me int he face.It should be easier to get off now if you have to do it again in the future.Mine comes off fine now.There is actually a little tool you can bye thats made to take them off.Thats what those 2 threaded holes are on each side, but fuck tools, they suck!!

Ive just got one of those small cheap repco ones in the corner of the dash cluster thing next the the A piller in the EX.Looks kool and is low key.i mean whats with the big tachos anyway? I mean fuck, if you dont know your over reving your motor without looking at a tacho then your an ass.........plus mine looks like a boost guage..... Running 8000rpm of boost bro yo nigga

  22. all it does is have electronic advance etc. on wire goes to the - of the coil and the other to the +. Not sure witch is witch tho.If you get stuck i will look at mine

  24. 5 degrees BTDC for the 4g54 i would just do as whats been seid.Its kinda fiddly the first time but once you have it right its sweet and you will be able to do it easy. If your dizzy has 1 wire from it then its a not electronic, if it has 2 wires its electronic. Chur that
  25. 8degrees Ive had mine at 10 and its ok, but 5-8 seems to run best.You ay have leaned it out a little to much also, hence the preignition.The 4g63 is pretty prone to it tho,so if you cant totaly get rid of it them dont worry to much. I get it alttle under 1500- 2000rpm, but nothing after that. Chur!
