  1. Fiddled with a bunch of needles on the scooter, still bogged down a bit before taking off so I blamed the exhaust powerband and lifted the clutch rpm, goes much better now while hiding the lack of low down power

    I'm looking forward to @peteretepgetting sick of his then plate swapping between the WR250R and WR250X for all of one rego/one wof goodness.

    man, I enjoy riding my bike every day. I'd love to try some dirt but its not usual for me so supermoto life is great.

  4. personally havent had much luck with chopping plugs, I think you need a really long straight to get some colour into the plug, but then its a total pain in the ass having to pull everything apart and destroy a plug. I have had a much better time just riding around and getting a feel of different throttle positions on the carb and referring them back to which jet/needle is affecting the power at that level. And a temperature gauge to make sure you aren't wayyyy out.

    Hard to imagine you need much more than a bit of adjustment on your thing though, as nothing has been grossly modified. I would be looking at maintenence items like seals and rebuilding the carb first

    Wouldnt 2 strokes plugs always be a bit on the greasy/carbony side?

    definitely not, when there is good fuel/oil/air ratios, the spark plugs look like normal. 5000km old spark plugs on my scooters are dry as and have a nice colour to them

    After dealing with the shitty NZ bike parts suppliers and their crusty websites, I was told 5-6 weeks lead time initially, now its 8-9 weeks. Never again, its fucking worse than aliexpress

    Now its at least 11 weeks

  7. Anyone ever noticed varying wind effect on different helmets? I seem to get a heap from my current (cheap) helmet but wondering if it is something where a fancy helmet might give better results. Currently looking at getting a HJC i70

    @UTERUS has spare beds.

    I have almost no experience riding a bike with gears too. (But lots of twist and go) so this year will be a test.

    Come along, and all the gun riders can laugh at us both.

    what bike you rolling this year bort?
