  5. You can buy vented disc that will bolt straight onto an Escort? The princess option is a top choice for cheap AP 4 pots also, you just need to alter the brakets for fitting the callipers. Kits to do this are readily available also. Or you can go completely mad...
  6. I'm with you mate!! A lot of this stuff that they sell in Repco and places is a load of bollox anyway. There is no magic way to get rid of shit, it has to be phyically removed.
  7. I used to run a side exit dizzy cap from a Peugeot on my NA Cossy Mk2, maybe that would also fit your application? Also have a think about fitting a remote servo (you call em boosters) or a bias pedal box to cure your space problem. Burtons are a good company but also have a look at these folks... http://www.raldes.co.uk or maybe .com Used them loads and they have all sorts!
  8. If you run an inline filter and get water trapped in it then just upbolt the banjo fittings and blow throw it, hey presto its water free again. Shit is another matter though, best fit a new one. That tank cleaner sounds dodgy to me also. Even if it breaks the shit down it still has to go some place, that place being into the fuel and eventually through your carbs or injectors. Best bet is to remove the tank and flush it out, maybe that is what its for??
  9. Have you got a picture of it at all?? Most pinto engined cars use the Type 9 ford 5 speed box but ratios can be different depending on hwat model and year etc?? The box should also have some kind of ID stamped onto it?? If it fits in the Escort without chopping then it could be more than likely a Mk1 Escort box? Is it 4 or 5 speed by the way?
  10. If the lights come on sometimes then its just a faulty earth or live connection somewhere. Also could just be the bulb thats popped on the drive light of the dual filament as mentioned? One question though, if you buy new headlights then it wont make a difference to the light side of things as the bulbs all pull out. Just replace the bulbs or even the bulb housings and keep you own lights as they are. If your cables and connections are goosed then most old style bulb holders will fit with a bit of work, I know mini ones do for example.??
