Well i just want a fast street car, not gonna race it or anything, although i guess itd go down the quarter once in a while. It was tuned by a guy here that knows his stuff about carbs, and has been tuning racecars and such for around 20 years apparently. The only thing they mention was that it would be a good idea to get a electronic ditributor and my ones spark was all over the show, however this isnt going to increase power

I dont really care about the engine bay being bling or whatever and dont have plans to paint it all and make the engine something pretty to look at aye, looks better now than it did, but its not really high on the priority list...want more power and by the sounds of it, a turbo setup with carbs and what not isnt really the best thing to do for it...selling the engine could be the go though and starting with a fresh pinto...I dunno :S depends how much i can get for the pinto in it.

Whoa no shit? yea true about the power to weight... You rekon id get 5k for my engine? Might have to look at this as an option and get a stock one in there untill a conversion or a pinto turbo then...

Yea I have thought about the whole conversion thing, but yea hmm, decision decsions...Im only estimating about that much because the civic I raced was not a b16a, but rather a dohc 1600 fuel injected piece, which i looked up are 129hp, and it took me, so that where im getting that from Conversion = big money, but more power I guess, however RT has pulled off a damn nice pinto turbo, least he can do a lot of it himself Thanks for that info Mikuni, helps alot, I just paid aall that money having the damn thing tuned only now if I went fuel injected to rip the carbs off oh well, all part of the fun..

Right, i spent all this money (read: 7k)on the pinto only to gain approx 30hp from standard. So im pretty fucked off and fed up and was going to give up altogether with it. But now ive changed my mind and I want more power, and I want in the way of a turbo. So being a n00b to this stuff heres the current engine mods: 2.25â€

Hasnt been on dyno yet, will get it done soon. Rocker arm set just a replacment basically, and the head work was done by a friend of RTs i believe, someone whos been doing it for years if I remeber it rightly. Got the ported head off RT, so thats just info he passed onto me. That pipe coming from the brake booster has been replaced now as well, as in lastest engine pic.

So the bedford oil cap with the pipe coming off proved a coinsidence that it was a tempromental (sp) replacment as it came in handy... Racepro breather tank coming off the bedford oil cap pipe that was there, awesome coincidental find as it proved useful in the end! Also $1300 later its fully tuned...

I chose the colours etc, roughly discussed the patterns etc but they came up with most of it, trusted them from all the the cars ive seen they have done etc. btw, you gona be selling that 5 speed box etc anytime soon?

Yea the blue triangles are sorta average imo as well, growing on me, i didnt chose the colour scheme, just told them to go at it and they did, still very happy with it though. I didnt have the boonet up because the motor is not blinged up, just had work done to it, the paint etc and everything is rather crap under there anyway, pics up of engine as it is now

Yea thanks, v3k il post up some engine bay shots tomorrow and alfadog, no i dont have electric windows, the windows u gota take off and wind then take off and another half wind to make them work atm, have to sort that sometime, not much of an issue to me tho.

Shit i couldnt do that myself, you should see the stitching on it, not to mention the condition it was in before hand, so yea auto trimmers anyway.

Cheers, yea got a couple things on interior to change, didnt win anything, fucking judging was retarded, example, best bodykit went to a evo6 with a FACTORY kit on it, wtf. Anyway methodz, interior was best part of $5000 and will get some pics of the custom panel/gauges etc
