  1. Will just get engine in and running. As for brakes... will see whats a good upgrade on the front at a later date. Already runs discs up front which i didnt think it had when i purchased it being a 1966 and all. As for suspension. Will either fit airbags with a tank in the back. Nice and low when i need too or fit coil overs all round. Either option is as easy as the next and will cost about the same.
  2. Will a b16a bolt up to the D15b 5 speed ? I can get my hands on a b15a engine no probs. B16A = 170 hp D15B = 130 hp Space is limited and ill most likely turbo it. Could go with a B16A but i purchased a whole Domani for $200 and have all the parts for the D15B conversion.
  3. Cast iron push stick turd 47hp powerhouse getting ready for removal. Quick test fit of honda engine. Looks like it will fit nicely with a few modifications. Now wheres my grinder.....
  4. Just started this project last week so not much progress yet. After seeing a pic on here some where of a vtech powered Morris i had to have one. Picked up this very tidy 1966 Morris with a genuine 34000 miles on the clock, great start to my project as the cars in very good condition. The last owner had run it out of oil or overheated it and it didnt run. So far ive removed the engine and box and today i purchased a complete 1997 Honda Domani as a donor to my Morris for its new engine and 5speed box. Spent the afternoon removing the engine from the honda. The engine is a fuel injected Sohc vtech (D15B) which produces 130hp stock. Ive chosen the singlecam engine because of space limitations in the engine bay. I plan to fit a turbo if theres enough room, but wont know till after i have the engine mounted. Will try keep updating pics. Discussion thread here > viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17225&p=393000&hilit=vtec+morris#p393000

Until it warms up its a bit like a Lada 2104 5 speed.
  8. Heres a few pics of my 1995 Lamborghini Diablo VT Have owned it for approximatly 1 year. It has done 16,000 ks and is one of only 6 right hand drive models in yellow made that year. Powered by a 495 hp Quad cam V12 and is 4WD Rear tyres are 315-40-17"s on 13x17" rims It will do 0-100kmh in just under 4 seconds and i can do approx 115kmh in first gear. Top speed is around 340kmh.
  9. Im a licencsed private investigator, been with the same employer 18years. Always loved cars but working on them as a job never pays the bills ! I would like my HQ to be one of the better ones around when completed, it will also be 100% street driven, not some poofy show car.
  10. Been busy buying parts for my project. Went to rarespares in Chch and got as many new parts as i could get, including Grill, headlight surrounds FULL rubber kit, new lenses front and rear, new arm rests, monaro door mirrors. Also bought a new radiator and fan scroud Got a low K 1997 VS V8 engine and auto trans, converting the 3 on the tree manual to auto on the tree. Got a brand new Terra Charger supercharger kit that increases the power by around 60% Will be off to the paint shop as a bare shell and built up from there.
  11. I used to have an Alto slammed on a set or 13x6 mags with 175-50-13 tyres. The tyre size is real unusual but come factory on the old rover minis. Looked real sweeet
  12. Love the skid pic man, open headers and all !
  13. Yes those are brand new coil over springs in the rear. The tortion bars in the rear have been wound right down, but not completely. The new coil overs are off a motorbike and stiffen the rear up nice. They look kool too
  14. Gotta be the easiest kit type car to build ever !! heres a link to the chassis shortening plans http://www.beachbuggies.co.nz/images/chassis1.pdf Was hoping to have it ready for new years but no chance Even with a standard 1200 or 1300 engine they go really well. Easy to get certified aswell.
  15. I just want a nice reliable cruzer. It will never break any speed records with a cast iron injected 5 liter.
  16. I purchased the car from chch for $3500 its a genuine 1 owner with 150ks on the clock. Then fitted the mags etc a couple of weeks ago. Its only a belmont so its pretty plain inside. Have big plans for it tho, including a Holden VS V8 engine transplant but not till next year.
  17. heres another better quality picture, still not very good tho.
  18. Believe it or not there is springs in there theres still plenty of suspension travel too.
  19. I stuck a set of boyd coddington 20's on it and slammed it. please excuse the poor quality pixt fone images.
  20. Scored myself a Holden VX 3800 engine with auto that ill be plonking in my Gemini. What is usually done in the diff department ? If i didnt know any better (at the moment i dont) id shorten up a hilux LSD and wack it in, but........ Is there anything that will bolt straight in ? Im after something a little stronger that what its got allready, not fussed about it being LSD or not. Ive read that people have bolted in piaza diffs ? and commodore diffs ? Any help would be great Cheers.
  21. Just picked this up the other day. 1973 HQ Belmont with 151,000 ks. Genuine 1 owner car from chch. 3 speed manual 6 cylinder. Not sure on my exact plans for it yet. But im sure ill think of something. Hard to find these now days in good nic. Discussion thread here > viewtopic.php?f=18&t=23356&p=543294#p543294

    Bellet Engine

If you decide on doing up the standard motor i have a twin side draft Manifold for a 1500 bellet engine, that will allow you to fit a pair of twin throat webers or dellortos. $40 Just an idea
  23. One of these days ill remove the engine and give the engine bay a tidy up. Repaint the engine black and replace a few hoses etc. Definatly wont be getting a rotary.
