  1. Keep looking for something more suitable, those wheels are fairly unattractive.
  2. Well then, I have the KP back in my possession, and it's not looking too bad even if I do say so myself. The colour is pretty much a match for the original, it's a fairly interesting shade of red really, kind of pale-ish, but not an orange-red... looks great when the sun hits it. All the little shopping trolley dents are gone, and she's now straight as. So now the reassembly begins, a couple of parts around the car have a bit of overspray on them which is a little bit annoying, should be able to cut it off without too much difficulty however.
  3. They effectively alter the velocity at which the air enters the engine through the inlet tract. Different velocity affects power and torque characteristics as I understand.
  4. FUCK NWWE YEARS IT IS RESOLUTION = MAEKE STYALTR KIICK ASS!!!!211!12 IOS GOINNAN ROCK!

Got that book, it's a pearler.
  6. Righto, seeing as it's kind of relevant more to this build, and not a project in it's own right, I bought this as a runabout/parts hauler for while the KP was off the road! It's the funniest thing to thrash around the place, I actually drove the very same one as a company vehicle when I worked for the previous owners about 5 years ago.
  7. The question I'd be asking is why do you want iridium plugs anyway?

  9. Yup was mint. Ya car looked good bro, and the R33 that ran a 10.65 was impressive as well.
  10. We can't wait even more..... she's gonna look tough.
  11. Yeah mech pump on 18R Low pressure leccy fuel pump ftw, won't need FPR on it, at least my mates one didn't... he's just done the identical conversion. 40's will be fine, RG's came out factory with Mikuni Solex 40PHH's iirc. Manifolds aren't uncommon for those suckers either.
  12. There's at least 3 in Palmy as well.... in varying states of build. Hot car though, the black looks wicked against those Simmons!

    Triumph 2.5

4x114.3 y0. Motor's based on a Ferguson tractor design iirc. Grandad had the most immaculate 2000 Mk2 in history, used to give me big Trumpy run downs all the time. Heaps of rims to choose from then, used to be this cunt in Palmy with a cream coloured one, dropped savagely on ROH ZS. Looked hot.
  14. Totally different engine mate. So is a 4age into an escort. Where theres a will theres a way. There's the logical, smart kind of conversion like the 4AGE into the Escort. Then there's the uninformed idiocy type of conversion, like a FIRE motor in a Lada. There's more hassle free and better engines out there.
  15. Hot. I dig it, slam it unsubtly. Add suitable wheels, I think Abarth 4 spokes would suit it nicely. Fiat twink of any variety on side suckers, will be mint.
  16. Argh on the way to Masterton on Sat, low slung headers = got pwnt by a large lump of tarseal, bent studs back, now have meke exhaust leak, hoooge pops and bangs ensue. It's fairly ROFL however on the overrun. Will have to fix later this week.
  17. Holy shit those wheels look even hotter against a darker colour!!!! Advan scheme is noice.
  18. Yuh I'm not gonna be able to manage anything for a bit though. Quite busy through Jan/Feb with other shit in the weekends.
  19. Yuh man, need a bit of notice though. Someone = crank out bbq etc as well, park up in shed, have rofl-ing good times.
  20. Cheers for comments.... Nah I've run out of things to do on it... the money's there, I just spend it on my new toy instead :S The next step would be an engine build with a target of around 170hp, and I'm just not prepared to spend the time with the car off the road to do that, also, cost vs. gains isn't really that sensible! Camera I used is a Sony DSC-H5B, not a DSLR though, it's what you'd call a "prosumer" digital I guess, full manual operation, 12x optical zoom, 7.2mp, optical image stabilisation etc.... sort of a follow on from my old camera. Still getting the hang of it though.
  21. So, nothing has happened but I went out and took a couple of snaps to try to get to grips with my new camera: Ain't she lurrrvely.
  22. No love for the Euro's Hillman sounds like a mint project, never seen a Hunter resembling anything remotely tough. Keep it updated, something about a savagely lowered Hunter with an angry rotor appeals.
