Motivation comes and goes with this. Like many of us, being split between multiple projects, work and family, its often hard to get to it sometimes. Im also currently in a war with the wiring, recently decided to try get it fully wired up to run all lights and indicators etc,But i'm an absolute novice when it comes to that so its taking a lot longer than expected. That's fine though, in no major rush 😎

After the bike show I started work on making a much shorter seat for the bike. as i hate how tall the repro one is. it raises the height profile of the bike far too much. So i started with a bit of wood. got to throwing some fibreglass around it. its okay. Lots to trim and work on but that's about where i'm up to currently.

That same weekend there was a classic bike show on at Barber Hall at arena Manawatu. Luckily the kind old buggers let this jap crap in. So i fit the Honda in the back of a Honda Fit and left it with them to set it up for the weekend. Went and visited the show on the saturday and stood back and watched while lots of people twice my age twisted their head at the monstrosity I brought there. again, a rewarding feeling.

Got the front leg guard on. took a few of my fav vintage-ish stickers ive been hoarding and saving for the right moment. Loving how it increases the loudness of this bike even more.

After now having it all together (mostly) and running, Took it to Manfeild for an event, got lots of attention. Very rewarding after lots of work

I had upgraded the factory lifan carb to a nibbi, and after lots of effort and troubleshooting to make it fit, it runs so well. definitely notice the power difference!

Took it to my friend at Syndicate Fabrication (now Syndicate Motorsport) for some custom exhaust work, the giant cannon on the end is all i have to work with right now unfortunately. He done a great job of tucking it
-
next thing was to get this exhaust sitting a lot better, so it doesn't scrape as bad, and have it sitting better
-
A lot of what was next was trial fitting all the parts I bought, and deciding what i did and didn't like. mainly things like handle grips. different iterations of throttle cable etc etc
-
I had also decided to paint the fuel tank a bastard soul red with some hectic flakes in there. photos do absolutely no justice but this looks like a disco ball in the sun. too bad it'll never been seen!

Because the suspension was much lower, the sidestand needed to be shortened. so out came the angle grinder and the welder
