  3. haha yeah for sure big tymer...but i dont have my ute(rx3ute) no more......esky dont have a "chassis" like a ute........ if i did still have my ute itd have a irs lsd rear end with coilovers and dropped spindles and coilovers on the front.... but even with the coils and leaves that were in it it was still lower than quest4s ute ground0...strange ae...
  4. yeah but they can always say "that suspension set up wasnt like that when i certed it"...... think about it.....you take your car for wof with chopped springs....dude says "no cert no wof",so you put some standard springs in it....take it back,he gives you a wof.....you go home and put the chopped springs in it...... responsibility solely lies with the owner of the vehicle,thats what i think anyway,unless its a prob with rust or brakes or seatbelts...... i know,ive been in that situation where i swapt my springs for a wof....i cant be bothered cutting corners now ive had too many fines n shit... y i asked for help?cos i see so many escorts sitting on their arse and i wanna know how they got them so damn low....having ppl tell you what to do and being givin advise is 2 totaly different things....
  5. yeah,a plate bolts to the hub,then you have a adjustable arm that applies pressure through the nylon rolling wheel which is also adjustable to get the perfect finish.......

  7. you know the worst thing is when you read the paper(yeah i can read)....and you see...illegal boyracer driving uncertified rotary car looses wheel on motorway causing chaos.... ive heard of a few people crashing from going round a corner and thiwer spring drops off the side of the strut....thats because they werent held in by tabs,or mainly cos they cut too much off the coils.....i cut one coil off the front of my ute,it slammed nicely,the springs wouldnt even turn in the seats when it was jacked up...i wouldnt dare to cut off more....
  8. when i sat cut i only mean by 1/2-1 coil not in half.....if you cut them so that they pop off the base then your just a fagg...but ive never had probs with spring seating... who sells spax coils?kings are to stiff i thought,dont slam near as much as compressed....
  9. i just had the rear gaurds on my legacy rolled last night.... come up really mint....took almost an hour but the job was worth it... only cost $50 per gaurd.... hes gonna come back to lip and pump my escort gaurds.... well worth it guys....you should all get it done.... ....Performance Gaurd Rolling..... 0212935358
  10. i actually spoke to 2 different certifiers...they both said the same thing...... bouncing around uncontrollably only happens when youve got no suspension travel and your on the bumpstops....thats why you put in either kings or have your springs compressed so theyr harder.....then you shorten your shock so the shock doesnt top out like most do.... most legally lowered cars ive been in(kings only) you go around a corner or over the gutter part of a driveway and you can hear the spring moving around....... id like to get coilovers for the front but im not gonna pay $800+ just for the front....do you think those coilover kits for civics are legal?no,cos theyr never seated proporly........except the ones that use keeper springs..... ive been in the motorsport industry for about 3yrs,and have seen every dodgy job,every good set-up.......i know what works and what doesnt....
  11. ltsa are faggots.....i spoke to a certifier...he said you can chop the fark out of your springs if you want... as long as you stil have 25mm of travel before it hits the bumpstops and springs are captive...he told me you can chop springs if you weld tabs on the sides to bend over the spring.......you can have your car sittin 25mm off the ground as long as its certed... those were the exact words from the certifier..... ill do whatever the fark i wanna do......i never let peeps tell me what to do....ive had chopt compressed springs in a fxgt i had.......fukt spring rates?pft.....yeah right.... everyone to thier own opinion i guess.....as long as its legal which in my case it is so bye bye
  12. thats what i was thinkin of doin....chopping the shock by 2" getting the coils compressed then hack an extra coil off.weld tabs to the strut base to captivate the spring...all good and certable...the rear will just have the lovvel leafs with blocks....and if its not low enuf ill flip the damn leaves...

    if you take them off you use a drill and drill out the spot welds...then when you put the gaurd back on you can use self tapping screws... so you dont haveto drill the welds out again later when you get taken out by that frigin asian with the shoelace over his eyes...

  17. i just bought a single leaf conversion with blox for my escy for $120.... 2" blocks,and lowered single leaf....alll good....now for the front.... anyone got any kings lying around????? im gonna get some fob to put them in too.....its a mission to do the front of the esky....with the tca's and the swaybar....the rear is easy as...
  18. yeah lowrx2 hes my mate....i can get it done free...... using a proper gaurd roller.not dodgy baseball bat that cripples any gracefulness in your lines....baseball bat gaurd rolling always looks crap...i can tell from a mile away(well maybe a couple of metres) if we can get a few cars together we can get it cheaper... goto aussie if you think its exspensive.......$200 a car aint bad...aussie they do it for $400.........
