24hr fuel in ruatahuna too, found out at 230am after getting lost finding a hunting spot and running out of fuel and was picked up by a couple of scary (self proclaimed ) bush maoris who were really nice in the end they were spot lighting the side of the main road whence I happened upon them

$150 BBK.
Bike shops here are insane. Everything you buy can be fitted in minutes. We went yesterday and I got a set of rims, my forks rebuilt and and oil change all in under an hour.
@GuyWithAviators had his forks rebuilt, brake calliper serviced, new head set bearing and repaired shock bushes + all fluids changed.
@Shakotom was being a hold out. But eventually caved to the pressure and ended up with new rims, a fork rebuild and an oil change.
It was a bit humbling seeing people paying for tyres and other parts with money they had clearly been saving for a long time, while we handed over stacks of cash and just disposed of our old wheels without a care. Obviously due to the logistics of riding to Bangkok we can’t take everything with us and the shop was super helpful and even pointed us in the direction of good food and warned us against carrying too much cash.
Riding in the city has been awesome. Lane splitting everywhere with cagers that are actually aware of bikes and actively look for you.
We hit the road to Bangkok tomorrow and should arrive there next Thursday all going well.
We’re only 3 days in but this is easily the most enjoyable and rewarding thing I’ve done in a long time. Blows a week in the goldy or raro out of the water for a very similar price.
More pics plz
