Cheers boss!!!!!! I want to start piecing together a nice 351C soon I just bought some chrome 'skull caps" for the 12 slots and I actually can't wait to slam it.....when I get some space at home to actually have the car in the same city haha. It's currently in Hamilton tucked away This is the look/stance I'm looking to achieve. The side mouldings, louvres and S Pac lower lip really make them look killer IMHO. I'm super lucky to have sourced a XE Ghia Fairmont bonnet and headlights too - you can see in the attached pics the headlight width.

Discussion thread link So.....I sold my 618 Coupe and now it's time for an 80's V8 build. 1984 Ford Falcon GL (de reg) 4.1L 6 cylinder and 3 peed column auto Was metallic blue however it's been painted white as it was used for a pilot vehicle for a house removal company, hence the roof lights (now removed). It's been in a shed for years and I can't see much in the way of rust in it, which is a bonus. It does drive, as we jimmied up a direct fuel feed to the carb (unsure of gas tank quality and old fuel) and all the lights work. Cheviot 14x8 tridents (tridons) are currently on it however I have some Ghia 15x7 alloys as well as some 14x8 12 slots with new 245 50 14 eagers coming shortly. Plans for it is to get it back in the VTNZ system and then drop a 351C in with POSSIBLY a tremec or if that is out of the budget, a C4 initially. I have the black XE Ghia side mouldings S Pac lower lip Louvres Wheel arch chrome trim XE Fairmont bonnet (has narrower centre above the grill to accommodate the wider headlights 2 spare rear bumpers XE Fairmont Ghia headlights (wider than Falcon) Full beige XE Falcon interior with bucket seats and console As per usual, my computer is struggling to load 1 photo so hang in there please.....

There are a few options aye. I have an XE falcon to build up however it all depends on the sale of the coupe. Not too bothered if it doesn’t sell

Cheers team - just testing the waters really. If no sale, no drama and I keep it safe and sound. it really does have all the big ticket items an rx2 coupe has and the majority of ones in NZ are missing these impossible to find bits. I can’t see better out there for sale with the pics receipts and videos to back up the build. That and legal 100%. it scares me to think what’s under some of these flash paint jobs out there.

I’ve been working on the build video during the lockdown. I couldn’t find free music I liked so that’s something to look into for the next time. the car is for sale too on Trademe....

I used arrow wheels Kelston - 90% of outfits that claim to do this generally run a mile as they don’t want anything to do with it. 114.3 to 110 I went to and Arrow were sweet and did a great job. it also comes down to how much meat there is to drill and the thickness etc. wheelfixit didn’t want a bar of it when I called them (as they claimed to do this for $18 per hole on their website iirc). place in chch was down to do this but can’t remember them - was as an engineering place

Took the sled to Reunion last weekend. The weather fri sat was awesome and there sure were some nice cars there. no issues and it ran like a dream all weekend

Reiterating the build thread info - the car has a road tune and the 51 IDA is singing right now. fresh WOF yesterday check Reunion this Friday to Sunday - can’t wait. who else is going? Come say hi

Update - rod tune complete and now the 51 IDA is singing. If anyone is off to Reunion next week come say hi - I’m there Friday to Sunday. The brake master sht itself and leaked on the RH chassis rail.... I ordered another master (Mazda 808) and we bled it last night. That and found that I was missing a lower rear calliper bolt so I’ve replaced that. fresh VTNZ WOF today.

All certed reg wof as of the end of July. Needs a WOf end of Jan haha. Man they come around fast. reunion in a month and a bit so game on

Yea it’s there for options if needed. Im more of a fan of the original bonnet but for shits and giggles it’s cool to have the options to change it up if needed. The only door cards this car is getting will be the new black repro ones haha camo.....psshh
