  1. I am currently running a blacktop Flywheel as its much lighter then the stock silvertop one. However i have been offered a lighter one from a reputable Japanese firm (5kg vs 5.9kg). What would the pros and cons be of going to the even lighter one over the stock 7.9kg silvertop one?

  4. Couple of quick questions for you Cletus. 1) Rally light pods, would something like this be road legal or would it need to be removed to drive on public roads? As I would like to mount a pod but no one makes them for the 82 so would need to custom build and with the newer rally cars going for the below setup it would be a lot cheaper for me in the long run. http://www.rallyanarchy.com/phorum/file.php?5,file=2585,filename=05022011115.jpg 2) I have been told by the local garage wof guy that a "Shaker" style vent would be illegal as it is not directly conected to the bonett and as the vent is also aftermarket it would cause injury to any one who i run over. The plan Cletus is to build a sheet metal box where the current intake pleneum of the 20v is, cut a hole in the bonett so that the box is under the bonnet line and the vent is above feeding cold air into the ITB's. Was going to use a WRX STi vent. Any issues I would run into doing this? It would not need to go on the cert would it? As its a factory vent from a subaru. Thanks
  5. You should see how she handles now, its so much better then stock. The MRP coil overs are a good buy. I think after the 193's i will stop modifying the engine and the 70mm trumpets have made a big difference. I have done some clever tricks to get all the power I can out of her without going nuts. KPR, some say the stock bolts are good for 8500 any experence? I do love the high rpm sound of the 4a.

  7. I didn't ignore him. I was quite happy going n/a with 193b's and was saving for them. $895+gst is quite a chunk to come up with.Yes he was great and i was maybe not so forthcoming. I did a hell of a lot of research into my n/a build. Hell i did the swap myself, researched the best covers, sway bar thickness, gearbox to buy, how to do a blacktop ecu swap. When i had never done this before and i asked questions on toymods a Hell of a lot because i didn't know. Fuck i regreat asking this question now. i know two bits of jack crap about turbochargers as never owned one. Was offered some parts cheap and now regreat it. will search in the future and sorry again to voldo. Have pm'd him. /end thread on the note of me being a cunt

  11. I have a spare Twinkie tank if you could make it fit, its yours, no fuel pump and its real dirty but should clean up well.

  16. Have read that painting would decrease cooling effects. Do you know if this is true or not? The intercooler I will be getting is a stock GSR one.
  17. Sweet have heard the Celica ones are pretty good but pricey. Was thinking about something like this so as not to have the rice-o-matic large intercooler and wreck the classic lines of the 82. Have yet to see a FMIC look good on a 82!

  21. This weekend was kinda expensive for a mate, he wrote off his GSR lancer and doesnt have insurance. Anyway he has agreed to sell me the TD-04 turbo, wastegate, Sequencial BOV and 390cc injectors for $50. So I guess the question is can these run on a Silvertop with 11:1 comp ratio? Maybe set the wastgate for 5-7psi? Can the MAP sensor cope with this? Can the B/T ECU cope with this or would i need to go Honda ECU? Can the intake plenium cope with 7psi max or would it come flying apart? Anyone know where a good place to get a manifold from would also be great.
