guitar amp valve mini stack along the lines of this old tiny Marshal stack i once used which was awesome. It was a wee head with two channels and the first channel had been preamped into the second for mega valve gain.
I ah, have a set of photocopies of Marshall etc circuits (hand drawn - no less). May include marshall valve amp circuits. Want me to scan some up?
Shit, come to think of it, I prolly have some valve transformers and caps lying around in the junk bins.
One channel may have used an old TV knob, which went to 11

Everyone thinks the company/dealer in NZ is the bad guy, but knowing the margins in NZ on things like keys, the "problem" is the overseas overlord. Yes, locksmiths can sell for much less, but having also had both a genuine and a locksmith "knockoff" keys in my hands, there is a reason they are cheaper. If you dont care and its to get you from A to B, then that is a fine option.
Closer. The root cause is putting software crypto locks on things, and not giving the crypto keys to the owner. Manufacturers can literally prevent any competition, high quality or not. It's exactly the same crypto chip. See also: John Deer parts replacement, McDonald's icecream machines, artificial retinas after the Co goes broke, etc. Have you noticed you can't buy any software for your iPhone except through the Apple Store, so Apple get to clip the ticket for 30%. Of that entire fucking industry segment.

I have a 5YO in the house, by definition, I'm probably a plague carrier. I'll do a RAT test in the morning.

I have a couple of phones with NFC (and various dodgy software), but you'll have to find some data to stick on 'em?

We could adjourn to @Blingplaza? I'll bring the finger sander and angle grinder.

...so long as it's not over 100 then it's probably fine.
Water at 15psi boils at 125C, not sure how far antifreeze pushes that?
Also, heat moves due to temperature difference just like fluid flow moves from pressure difference. Lots of coolant flow into a rad means a higher temp in the rad, so more temp diff to atmosphere, so larger overall heat flow into the cooling air (will heat the air more, with heat from the coolant, from the engine).

Just looking at options on immobiliser stuff for my old beeeeeema. Mine is just a year before they put the chips in the keys, and I am getting a bit worried about theft. It has an alarm, so I just want to put some form of immobiliser on there without getting a whole alarm and such replacing my factory Infrared key.
I assume that it would be possible to literally chuck one of those RFID tags on a keychain and if it's away from the steering column it triggers a cut off for the ignition or something.
I have no idea what to begin to look for. Anyone here attempt anything like this? All I find is alarm systems with big bulky ugly button keys. I'm lazy, I don't want to press anything. I don't need another alarm key, mine works fine. I just want the car to know I'm close and allow me to start.
It should be possible right? or am I crazy?
RFID is usually pretty short range in cases like this.
Fully reccommend to try a pre-made solution like that one above. As always, once you've got one example, you've got the keywords to search for more and to look for reviews...

Roof in the XJR has been open > 1 year, who knows what horrors lie within?
There's the new units, for folks with money for dealer serv.... oh, oh no.
But for @RUNAMUCK, I notice these lawn ornaments are getting quite late model. Must be cheap!

I did exactly that with a $60(?) TP-Link, worked like a charm. Just had to config it exactly like they said, there was some weird non-intuitive setup thing where they broke all the usual setup conventions.

Cool, have a go. I see this one has an LED under the tube, for extra heater glow? (LoL) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005125142338.html
I don't see audio transformers in the kits I've glanced at, and I suspect a lot of the sound you liked is in the big valve power stage with the 300V to 8ohm iron output transformer, but,
have at!
