SuperCheap auto spade crimp sockets are shit. No spring, loose at the 1st use. Do not recommend.

Pics. Clear circuit diagrams are better. If the input is delta connected, changing it to star would probably get you in the ballpark. Best have a sparky check it.

voltage is marginal but I reckon that'd do it
Send me a pic of it's innards, and I'll tell you how to goose it. The resistor is gonna cost you 12c

Oh, you can has mains? Well, is 2Fiddy too much? https://www.jaycar.co.nz/13-8v-40a-switchmode-bench-power-supply/p/MP3089?gclid=Cj0KCQjwi7GnBhDXARIsAFLvH4mmOTYQPrmYhm-zriE338bz0AvlewRgMaoQkyPeuknaqPXv3SryrKIaAqK6EALw_wcB

Matter if it's a couple of volts more? 18V 2Ah, $59

I had a 3S27P battery where the middle section just wouldn't charge up (dead cell probably - will split and report) so the other cells got up to max V, and the BMS stopped charging (as it should, and would cause the light to change colour on the charger), but the BMS was just unable to ever balance them out.

I can't get this Dnepr to run properly, its like a bad condenser, its backfiring under load, iI tried 3 different brand new condensers, its sparking at the points alot, I have a 0.22 mf condenser, changed the coil to, I am wondering if it being 6v makes it require a higher capacity condenser?
If so, try 2 in parallel.

was advised that start-up could be as much as 9X rated power, so may go petrol re-power as long powercords are an arse .
True, if direct on line starting e.g. 3ph high eff squirrel cage motor. Inverter drive can bring this down to 200 - 300% when slow starting. Pic of motor plate you're having trouble with?

has a query.
re-mounting tidying up my concrete mixer, current motor 1/4Hp 1425rpm, non-cap.start....... will not run on 1000w continuous invertor
if i replace this motor with 1/2Hp twin cap start....... will the capacitors allow the invertor to run it ?1 hour ago, cubastreet said:Soft start might help? My 3600w inverter genny struggles with a concrete mixer.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKc4WrMGood point. Is the inverter set to ramp up speed slowly?

Cain't remember if I showed you this?

Its fucking cool! Damn I'd love to see a day when our sea of huge silver/black ranger danger blobs are gone and the city streets have more small quirky car content.
LoL, tiny entrance posts to the convenient car parks? Like Just big enough for Clint's old Valiant.

Do we need a vaguely car related / electronics thread?

@Ned or @kempy Topward TOPWARD 6303A Dual-tracking DC bench power supply -working up your way
$50bux so far https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/electronics-photography/radio-equipment/amateur-radio/listing/4250718955
(sorta temped, but I have 4 bench PSU already and it'll be too heavy to courier, really)

Nice, sneak it lower and put a nut / weld a captive nut to the underside?
- oh thread for the oil hole blocks. As you were.
Might want a sharper front corner for oil line sealing surfaces? *1.
(Ignore*2, I figured it out, you clever man!)

Algodoo to was fun 2D physics modeller/game/ kids edu program, but awkward to edit objects after creation, and no parameterization. FreeCad physics seems to be about static FEM analysis. Suggestions on what to use to make a Dino skeleton out of rods and pivots and springs please ? Meccano?
(There's a new CAD input package for Blender, but it looks rather Beta)

Oooh, ooh! Jaycar has naked bulb green and blue neon indicators now!

Buying a few blocks and making some parts to fix things that go boom is in the long term development budget.
Bahaha, if you don't start a slush fund for me to contribute to these shenanigans, I shall be frowny face. If that goes stonkingly well; after reading the comments on reducing weight to reduce high RPM stress, you could get the Italian metal wizards to make you titanium rockers, etc? Ceramic pistons??
Oh and bearing speed, oil shear etc, any option to do what the 2T goons do, and throw in roller bearings?
