  1. big update, completed the electrics and it bloody works, absolute minter. no explosions or smoke haha Also hooked up the new smoked led tail lights and indicators just the front to do now Found some wicked trailer led lights not to worried its a landy. Next job is to finish up the electrics then move onto rust work. Getting closer and closer to putting it back on the road
  2. ah its a 1970 series 2a land rover, thats sweet just rewiring the thing, and at that stage where its easy to add in if needed, but if not needed saves me a couple of hours
  3. Hi all hoping this may be the right thread, if my vehicle never had hazard lights do i now need hazard lights when re registering the vehicle?
  4. spent the last few days finalizing the wiring, working on how to wire an auto trans with od is a nightmare anyone with experience wiring a 4n71b would be nice to cross reference, everything now is quick disconnect and an 12 way fuse board behind the panel rather then the old two fuses. Also have rewired a new ignition switch however think i need to add a diode to stop back flow while in accessory, so the fuel pump etc stops working. just to add a few relays wait for the led indicator relay and she will be good to go
  5. Also have pressure bled the brakes as i was having an issue getting a hard pedal now there like a geriatric that took some viagara. pressure bleeding also meat brake fluid went everywhere so washed the old girl down. Slowly getting there
  6. Chopped off the old lights, bolts where seized in place, Have a set of leds to install and a set of led inserts for the headlights. Also installed all the new loom, everything loops through the drivers side so i can make a junction for trailer lights,
  7. Have decided for now to use to original cluster, have added a new ignition switch that has a diesel glow before start, also enlarged the hole from the original two pin power supply on the dash to fit a twin USB charger and volt meter, now just to wire this all up
  8. I was thinking about that Same thing with the bolsters, and the means of egress. True never thought about the fabric it's going to be a mud slut so might have to go back to the drawing board. Also forgot about the battery and water tank under drivers seat would make that a bastard to get to hmmmm
  9. looking at these seats for the landy, anyone have any experience with them?
  10. has anyone had any experience with scarles bucket seats thinking about using them in the landy
  11. just nailed these tyres for my landy think i payed around the 230 mark, Chinese tyre but have awesome reviews, i have gone big in landy terms and hitting a 265 75 16 got some disco 1 steels. Something to consider =P Big muddies = beast
  12. Fits so good had to bodge up some spacer to lift the whole rad, something about this one having square end tanks and hitting the chassis rails its now in there like a beast and not coming out, now time will tell if she will hold a steady temp slaving up some hills in sweltering summer heat while towing a jeep out because there shit i mean lesser quality
