Your heater tap is correct as it is.

Pitty you didn't ask about the waterpump bypass hose, $4 at repco for the real part!
-
it will be, however go to Repco, its likely to be cheaper than that or even here http://www.classiccarparts.co.nz/mini-pre-verto-clutch-slave-cylinder-non-genuine-gsy110-mg-1100-sprite-n-midget?search=clutch%20slave&description=true

Clutch slave cylinder - sorry I don't have a spare but they should be easy to get - same as mini.

Got into the bottom of the A pillar, I need to make it fill in the red line! IMAG0389 this is the foot well under the front of the floor, I think I will need to roll it over again and remove this right across to the other side and get a new one folded up. Luckily my old mate from school owns a sheet metal shop and can pretty much manufacture anything from sheet. IMAG0388 The new sill and guard seem to fit ok, but I will need to brace the door opening before I move it and check it hasn't opened up while sitting there. The red tape on the sill is about where I will cut it to match up with the new rear guard. IMAG0387

Nor sure if you follow this group on FB https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=915173395188817&set=pcb.885553291531517&type=1&theater but there always seem to be Snipes on there

Test fitted the floor and inner sill IMAG0364

More progress Got this off IMAG0354 Needs fixing IMAG0356 IMAG0358 Made a patch IMAG0359 Found a good way to make some rounded corners for the jack point cutout - my spot weld bit to the rescue again. IMAG0360 Ready to weld IMAG0361 All done - Only rust proof under coat I have is white and this bit is not seen once assembled so no point in completely cleaning up the welds. IMAG0362

Being a D series one, you could remove the entire back roof section if you want Like this.
-
^^ Buy my spare one
-
So super low like this one I have spare? 2015-02-08_02-26-05 I have a new set of sills resonably cheap if you need them
-
more cutting IMG_5120 and the drivers side floor is gone IMG_5121 IMG_5122 I need to finish unpicking the ends of the sill and repair the front of the floor to enable me to start putting it back together again.
-
Tortron, I think it will just be wirebrush and rust converter all round now. azzurro, they were from here http://www.testntools.co.nz/desic-spot-weld-drill-set-13-piece-9-5mm-p30456.html so far still using the first one - still going strong
-
Ripped the back guard off IMG_4969-001 It had been fixed before! IMG_4973-001 More rust IMG_4971-001 Opened the sill up, glad I have a replacement floor, inner and outer sill IMG_4975-001 This is what it should be like IMG_4976-001 IMG_4978-001 I think I will have to strengthen the shell before I cut any more away or it may fold in half! The inspector checked out the progress IMG_4979-001
-
I was struggling with my spot weld drill bit, The one IMG_4966-001 Saw this type on the tard IMG_4964-001 IMG_4963-001 Its really just a 9.5mm hole saw, best thing I have ever used. Does this, IMG_4967-001 So much easier as you cut around the weld not through it where it has been hardened by the welding process
-
Finished taking the front apart, the steering box is easy to get to now - this is as far apart as the front will need to come. IMAG0264_BURST002 IMAG0265 IMAG0266 Just as well! there is not much left.
-
Been off work sick for a few days, feeling a bit better this afternoon so did some stuff... Took the nose off IMAG0242 If only it was this easy IMAG0244 This is why I got new sills all round IMAG0246 Got this off as well IMAG0249 Can see why they rust with traps for rubbish like this IMAG0248
-
Cheers Tori, you could be right. How's the trip coming along?
-
There is still a fair amount of work to do as the sills overlap the guards at both ends so there will have to be some careful cutting - still working out where to start - the floors? the front? the back?
-
So what was in the boxes... IMAG0203 Now I just have to find time to start some real work on it.
-
Look what was waiting for me when I went to leave for work this morning! I wonder what's inside? IMAG0197 Straight to my door - do not pass customs - do not collect $$$ - score! Very good service 13 days door to door
-
