  1. ATL? What's that but you just reminded me I need to wire the diagnostic light .
  2. Swapped out the Pajero intercooler with my oil cooler , still using the fan to aid cooling if needed .
  3. Wired in alternator , temp , volt, and oil pressure gauges . Oil pressure was at 80 psi for the few mins of running so looking good, pick up my oil cooler tomorrow off TM , found a relocate kit on eBay for $120 delivered , so looking good . Goal is to finish in time for holidays in January .
  4. Yay she goes , a lot more work ahead , but yes turn the key and she runs woohoo https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10201375598570222&l=3209782270837308468
  5. Right done both mounts , and did a bit of wiring . Might get this sucker running tomorrow
  6. Have come up with a better mount , fitted the tonight , they just need a little tweaking I used some 85mm square tubing and mounted that to a flat piece of steel bolted to the motor then bolted to the paj mount , tomorrow night I hope to tidy up the wiring , then Thursday fire her up!!
  7. Looking at your pic there's a lot not there of your motor , so yeah maybe keep that as spare and look at a complete one
  8. What's it missing , if the loom is there you should be able to work out what ECU you need if that one of the missing parts. Being a mid sump I would guess that its an early motor . If you are missing too many bits it might be worth just getting another motor and using you mid-sump bits to make it fit if needed.
  9. Made an adaptor to get my mount to bolt to the chassis, work in progress but I think it'll work just fine
  10. Mounting the fuel pump close to the tank, utilising the access cover
  11. I haven't run it for ages but yeah probably will still be up when I next start her up , which shouldn't be too far away.
  12. Got a few bits delivered, and Pajero just fits in my garage , yay now I can do some work in comfort
  13. Are you going to run the alternator direct off the crank or use an idler pulley
  14. Have been busy moving , but have made these dollies , $66 for the castors and some scrap steel and timber So should be able to get the Pajero in the garage and turn her round to suit
  15. Will removing this give you some unwanted fault codes ?

    RT's Capri

Great looking car ............and great work
  17. Mounted the intercooler .....no I'm not turbo charging . I couldn't wait to see how it looked before I convert it to an oil cooler
  18. Here's the batteries put back in and a pic of the radiator hoses note how close the motor comes to the radiator , I was real lucky with the the bottom hose being able to match up with the Lexus one avoiding pullies etc.
  19. Switching the negative is normal , cause one side of the switch can go to ground
  20. Looking good , I was too scared to cut mine .
  21. It could be an interior light that times out after switch off my galant does this

    1uz igniters

I found belling and tracing out the wires and marking them worked for me . If your motor has the 28 pin ECU I would guess that its late model so the 4 part diagram on here or lextreme will help a lot . I printed it out joined the pages together and compared mine with the plan . Nigel's write up on here is very helpful

    1uz igniters

Not sure on the igniters but for the 28 pin you only need 5 or 6 of the actual pins . The plugs can be made from from spare ones on your motor if you have them I did this by soldering wires onto the plugs and using shrink sleeving . You need to work out what pins you use though . The proper plug would be good but is usually on the donor car
  24. Thanks that reminds me I want to replace the hydraulic fan pulley and idler .TM has one but at nearly $400 I might wait . Theres heaps on Ebay so that might be the go.
