  1. 1UZ in Hilux , even tho its common as mud to do , its a proven swap.
  2. Here you go mate , I used a sealer not just ordinary glue http://imageshack.us/a/img822/5281/g4gw.jpg
  3. Just feed the relay with a switched 12volt supply. For the sensor I use an old temp gauge sender and removed the guts then glued in the control sender. I don't think it matters too much where you mount it .
  4. Great choice for the fan controller mate , also they hold their setting memory . So no worries when ignition is off
  5. http://imageshack.us/a/img812/7105/7bnt.jpg Right back again , have trial fitted the driveshaft loop just need to drill some holes in the floor and bolt it up .
  6. Another test , power steering pump is abit noisey. Same with fuel pump. Idle is good ,as is oil pressure , water temp to (found dash and triple gauge water temp earth wasn't the best all good now tho.) http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=em-upload_owner&v=7jwKu06Cxso&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D7jwKu06Cxso%26feature%3Dem-upload_owner
  7. Power steering .....I hope Ive fixed , will do another loud road test tomorrow. I found jacking the car off the wheels and turning the steering from lock to lock ,then shutting down , caused a nice big bubble of air to escape from the reservoir . Still to do: Exhaust Driveshaft loop Oil leak from remote filter set-up Move fuel pump (too loud where it is) Stereo Cert and WOF
  8. Well a double blonde moment yesterday , I did actually film a brief drive of the first test drive http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ex6I7yKDu60
  9. Well finally drove the Pajero today , down the drive way and back , she changed gear .......woohoo . Few issues the fuel pump is pretty loud so may look at mounting this in the tank . Worst issue is the power steering hose blew off , need to get a one piece pipe instead of two joined together! ( very unprofessional ) but it moves and drives , and I've got a garage again.
  10. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k9bJEbD6B5s&feature=em-upload_owner&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dk9bJEbD6B5s%26feature%3Dem-upload_owner Got the oilpump primed again after getting the oil cooler all plumbed up. Ran her for awhile , wouldn't start first off , bloody hose came off the fuel pump , now I'm low on gas!
  11. Derale 15746 is it I'm hoping I've ordered the right thread . Great work by the way .
  12. http://imageshack.us/a/img827/8971/z3mr.jpg I've just ordered one of these that you may be interested in , it allows the hoses to mount a bit closer to the block so avoiding the chassis . $47 on Amazon or $70 odd from edge here in NZ
  13. http://www.amazon.com/Derale-15746-Engine-Spin-On-Adapter/dp/B004XONTWK This will keep the oil lines away from the chassis , just hope Amazon hurry up
  14. Got my oil lines off eBay and installed need to get elbows for the adaptor so the pipes don't foul the chassis http://imageshack.com/i/mwjnmmj
  15. The beautiful sound of the 1UZ .......can't beat good work mate
  16. Uploaded with ImageShack.com Think I've got this image shack thing going
  17. http://imageshack.com/i/5h3z1ij Hopefully this works
  18. Wired in my fan controller , set it to 80 degrees for now . Found that the tachometer works on 4 cylinder with the sensor wired to the negative of one of the two igniters . Then out of the blue the bloody alarm wouldn't reset , found all the wiring under the dash Jesus those alarm installers are rough buggers . Then all of a sudden she worked again , nothing worse than an intermittent fault! Sorry photobucket is being stupid
  19. The kickdown cable could be a bit longer , and the throttle cable needs a more permanent install , will do for now though . Am very close to driving the old girl , have a difficult bell housing bolt to tighten up , and a slight adjustment on the engine mounts. Off course there's the exhaust and drive shaft loop , but I just want to drive the thing !!!
  20. Will do , that won't be to far off either! By the way have you wired your tachometer using the wire on the igniter mine goes full scale , with just the ignition on so not sure if I've done it right or maybe its the cheap repco Autogauge I got
  21. The warning light is easy to find . The other two are either straight to the battery or ignition .
  22. Just looked at nigelwades thing it's all deleted , I printed it off a while back I'll take a look and see what info there is
  23. Alternator , right got ya now , I wouldn't have a clue , after breaking a few of the other plugs I stayed clear of any that didn't need to come off . Here's what I used for identifying the wires, nigelwades thread on here might help you to http://www.lextreme.com/PDF/sccharging.pdf
