You make a valid point, maybe I will redo that so it is properish. Probably later. The red is all I had for it at the time.
I am not very good at making this stuff tidy as you can see. While doing the cab 12v review I realised I had not labelled anything in the fusebox correctly. I thought pretty seriously about pulling fuses to see what they did and label them such but decided that was future ThePogs problem.
I think the main issue is that I look at wiring from a mechanical engineers perspective. I visualise where a wire needs to go to make things work, connect that wire and that is essentially the end of it. Sensible routing, wire colour and labelling for future reference are not fundamental to the workings I have in my head.
If my experience is anything to go by, future Pog won't be happy with present Pog.

Ended up going for the v6, has a stage 1 reflash as well.. Managed 9.5l/100km coming over takaka hill from Nelson. Pretty happy with it, way less noise than the deez. Drove down to chch yesterday with a car transporter on and a tricked out ranger shadowing me from murchison to culverden after he realised he didn't have enough power to over take me and the overtakee at the same time. Try as he might I could just pull away from him during the manoeuvre, fucken stoked...
There's a couple of things that I might do to increase power and economy in the future but fuck its nice to drive .
Any other 1GR's on the forum?

That's not too bad.. I'm tossing up between either a v6 or the obvious dez which is 6k dearer for more kms.. Leaning towards the petrol, 6k is a fair bit of fuel.

Just looked at the trip on mine at its showing 8.6km/L or 11.6L/100kms, no idea when I last reset it though.
That's me driving it with zero cares given about economy also. I always feed it the jandal, it loves it ands sounds great on song.
How many kms do you get per tank?

Not in a Hilux, but the Prado with the same will do 14l per 100 without too much provocation
Yeah that makes sense since the prado is basically the ute with 700kg in the tray..

Apparently you need to drive them like a diesel to get decent consumption figures....
Also that the auto has better economy given that its 5 speed.. What sort of figures are you getting @4AG_Addict

Been looking at buying a 2wd hilux, have read a few things on economy of the 4.0's saying they're 10-13km/l. Has anyone any real world experience with the petrol versions?

Sold today at auction with two bidders.. So fucken relieved, doubled our money which makes the whole thing 150% worthwhile. And a big thanks to covid for making the market go crazy right when we wanted to sell.
Felt pretty sad driving back into the hood yesterday, spent a good time of my childhood here and the last 11 years, really sad to be leaving as apart from the horrifically corrosive air I fucken love this place.
Onwards and upwards....

Selling house looks great. Hope the sale goes well high.
So do I, we've already had a couple of encouraging offers.. Two were a bit low so they both bumped them by 40k. Another 40 would be excellent hah. #moneyhungry

Did a some 0-100 runs this arvo, consistently doing 6.7 sec to 100 which is pretty good for a work ute, also towed a semi full car transporter back up to the bay yesterday and got 13.4l/100.. Everytime I overtook a caravan/boat the estimated range would drop by 10km haha...
*edit.... Here's a pic,
