  1. Thanks mate. M42 swap is ideal due to how far back it sits, found a wrecker that I could suss the engine off but now it's down to being able to do it myself, if it's much more than a backyard job I might have to pay someone to do it (any offers??) seeing as I don't have many tools nor a welder. Will deffo let you know when the time comes, the m10 has done 250 odd k's mind you. Have done some research, can't get past the adjustability of coilovers but all my current options are from overseas, GAZ does a complete setup for our cars which looks nice, or a Koni/GC setup, but they're damn pricey. Have you found anything local?
  2. Ah yeap, anyway I went down and there isn't much left, your old one is in pieces, shell is gone. The blue 320i had the dash I was looking for but someone had a go at it just before I turned up and bloody cracked it at all the mounting points.
  3. Mint. There's a guy with a couple of e21's being wrecked/rego on hold in Hamilton, gonna head down today to have a look, anything you'd need mate?
  4. Discuss: http://oldschool.co....40-berjjjs-e21/ So I finally got a pair and bought myself an older ride. It's an '81 318i fuel injected 5speed, runs mint, stacks of receipts, picked it up from Christchurch and drove it home overnight to Auckland! One hell of a drive in the stormy weather, stock suspension and minimal tread width made it interesting but we made it. Planning an m42 swap in the near future depending on if I can suss some garage space, picking up some interior bits from hamilton today so she'll hopefully have a clean dash soon. Otherwise I'd like to go against the grain, pick up some oldschool jap wheels instead of the generic bbs rs/euro combo, should be a bit of fun. Pictures, obviously what you came here for:
  5. So niceeee, those are going to look the business on your van mate. I won't be ordering lips until I move back to Auckland in a couple of weeks, the power bill ripped me a new one and funds just aren't there at the moment.
  6. Ah they look so niceeee, gonna be mint on that '76 of yours. As an update I've put off getting the lips done until I move back North in a couple of weeks, though I am refurbishing them as we speak. Funds for lips just aren't at my disposal at the moment.
  7. Stoked I'll be in Auckland for the uni holidays then, will stop by and see what they can do, hopefully wheel centres count as 'carry on' luggage These damn exams have taken over my life at the mo.
  8. Awesome, will be waiting on your results! It's good to hear he's still with the business
  9. Thanks for the input guys, will give him a ring and see what's up then.
  10. Ah awesome, yeah I'm not fussed at all about doing the polishing/finishing myself. Did you have to send away the entire wheel or was the lip enough for him to work off? Will give him a ring sometime then, cheers for the info!
  11. So I just nabbed a set of Weds Professor Mesh 3pc wheels for a wicked price, aren't welded shut either (stoked). Problem is I've been struggling to find a source for wider lips. Seems like most (all) of the stock overseas is for BBS/Volk/some other wheel brand with a different bold pattern. Has anyone had experience finding lips for old school Weds wheels? Searched and read that there have been issues with Gavin and 41degreewheels as of late so a bit hesitant if that's the go. Rims in question are 15x7 + 35, 36 bold pattern lips, hoping for a final setup of 15x9 +10 (-12.7 offset for every inch added to the outer if my maths is right?). Any help would be great thanks.
  12. Gutted, was gonna come out tomorrow but just got the call to work all day. They took the ford out?! Also Westy to win I'd say.
  13. Anyone gonna check it out over the weekend in Dunners? Reckon it'll be a good watch at some point.
