  1. Was out visiting my parents last weekend and went for a bush walk to find a xmas tree... Got a bit lost and come down through the neighbours property and stumbled upon a old shed in the bush. Had a bit of a nosey inside and found a Pantha Alipine 24s sitting in the corner rusting away. Went down and visited the neighbour and asked if he would be interested in selling it... 5 minutes later i was walking away with my new bike for the price of $0.00. The bikes in fairly good condition, some light surface rust on the handle bars and some paint missing/little bit of rust on the frame. I'll get some pics of the actual bike tomorrow before i begin the break down/restoration. Plan is to have the handlebars, forks and any other previously chromed parts redone. I have a friend remaking all the oringal decals and then repaint the frame. The seat is in mint condition and the hub-gears work perfectly. Heres a sample picture, it's the exact same as mine... just a little tidier.
  2. Just noticed Welly meet is on the 17th, thats my aim. fingers crossed that they bolt up with very little guard work needed so i can just roll dirty on them to the meet.
  3. Should be sweet, 195/50s. They don't actually poke that much, not a whole lot more than I had on the Impuls. All the extra wheel is on the inside
  4. WORK Meister CR01, 15x9 -3 rear and 15x8 -3 front. Need to get some pics with a decent camera
  5. $240 a week, split it between 6 of us, has room for 7-8 cars.
  6. I thought i might as well make myself a dumping ground for pics etc... Discussion: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/35758-battlesnaykes-79-ae70-discussion/ Heres how the car started and some progress shots to catch you up to now: This is the car the day i got it: AE70 by Bwarp.net.nz, on Flickr Rearview by Bwarp.net.nz, on Flickr Impul Mesh by Bwarp.net.nz, on Flickr Then i borrowed some wheels while the Impuls had a crack repaired Then i got a new bumper Then i got fender mirrors, and a new lip/snow plow Replaced the thermostat Then the exciting stuff started... And I love this, gonna look so tough! And there you have it. Will post up some more pics in the new year when i get tyres and my hakosouka wing.
  7. The holdens are fine as long as they remove the covers when the headlights are in use, i.e they can use them during the day but they have to come off at night. It's not really a 'consensus'... Whether people think they're too tinted or not doesn't really apply, they're still illegal to do. They're not like windows where you can do it to a certain %. If you're willing to risk it, go for it!
  8. Here you go " Tinting It is illegal to apply any kind of tint film, tint paint or opaque sticker to any lamp which has a function other than decoration (eg non-cosmetic)."
  9. Fairly certain they changed it so you can't tint them at all, if you can take it off within 15 minutes then you can't get green stickered. Just take a bottle of turps around with you everywhere and rub it off if you get any problems.
  10. Is the next one the 3rd of Jan or the 3rd thursday of Jan?
  11. Make the call for Nandos. /Good call if you already have.
  12. A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet.
  13. What are they? And I'm guessing they're not multi piece?
  14. Yeah I gathered that, but I was wondering if they had released anything for 15x9s.
  15. Does anyone know if there are any manufacturer spec sheets from Falken that covers 15x9s? I have some that say that a 195/45/15 Falken ZE912 can be stretched on 15x8.5 but it doesn't have anything about 15x9.
  16. Ah excellent! That will help. I don't know how much room I had on the 8s but can measure up on the wheels im using now. You are a Wizard!
  17. Yeah got a wheel I can do it with, was hoping someone might have known. Ah well.
  18. It's more about strut clearance than anything.
  19. Hey, I'm ordering some new wheels for my AE70 and just trying to figure out how wide I can go with minor guard work. Does anyone know what offset I would need to run 15x9 on the rears? I'm thinking 15x9 -5 rear and 15x8 -10 front. Cars slightly lowered, not slammed and can fit 15x8 -15 but didn't check strut clearance.
