Well well well ........ Been a wee while! Some things have happened... Sketch level 100 Sketch level: over 9000!!!! Fun findings: Any suggestions? I bought a panel puller and I'll give it a go. Plans now: Straighten sills and rails. Strip whole underside back to bare metal. Epoxy prime. Seam seal. Undercoat/chipseal Something like that. Both subframes will get dissassembled, and all the parts sandblasted and re-coated. Not sure whether I should powdercoat of paint at this stage .... Suggestions?? Till next year...... ELEVNS -

So, ANZAC weekend resulted in some work being done: Brake booster is regrettably still attached, as I could'nt be assed getting under the dash. But it will be getting binned in favour of these: Courtesy of pe-arce, they will live on inside my nissan. (next to my new TIG I bought) need cheap tig work? hit me up!! And look at the amount of wiring I ripped out! (without any cutting might I add) 99% of which will never live in my engine bay again. Now to strip the rest of this sorry Nissan. Need more storage in my garage for the influx of dirty Nissan bits sitting round... -
Pretty sure I want to see brake line photos! Haha doing the same setup on mine

So! Last weekend went a little like this: Engine in the hole: Engine not so much in the hole: And out! Sold gearbox, clutch, injectors, afm and laid it to rest on a nissan engine stand: Also bought myself a new toy, time to get some holes filled! If anyone has a couple engine stands to make a rotisserie out of, i would be keen. Or if anyone has a rotisserie going spare...... -

So! Spent the last few months doing this: Little car nut joined the family. Super stoked, excuse crazy eyes. Back into this, got some jdm packaging again too: Which contained all my missing bits. Still less expensive than paying drift tax here! Also i just won these last night: SO STOKED!!!!!!!! 15x7.5 and 15x8 look suspiciously like a set of 7.5s though.... Which I'll still be ok with. Should be here in a few months depending on when mlracings next container arrives! Next up, engine out, sell some bits, strip, rotisserie, weldy weldy painty painty. Xoxo ELEVNS -
Thanks for the great writeup! About to do this to mine, getting some great inspiration from this. And its fine with the reservoirs, just pop the instrument cluster out when you do pads/fluid? Fairly simple

So, a few weeks ago I bought myself a flash Olympus camera. Tried it out: OK i guess. It also takes normal photos: Need to scrap that white one asap. It's taking up too much room! But anyway, that's January's job. then onto the good one! -

So! Fitted my louvreshades: Need to clean my windows. Also mocked up a nx1600 coupe digital instrument cluster on the parts car: They look like this: Which I think is pretty badass! -

They push the bottom of the shock 25mm towards the centre of the car, so Isnt really that much I hope. Could always make slightly shorter ones -

So, In my infinite wisdom, instead of doing anything worthwhile, I bought new wheels: 17x10 saleen reps. Were stupid cheap, so will rock these for now untill I find some nicer 15s and then re-cert. They are 5 stud, I have some hubs coming for them and will keep 4 stud for when I get said 15s! Primo. On the bad side, they will hit my front coilovers, offset is +20. So am looking at getting something like these made: Extended lower brackets for coilovers, as I hate spacers/wheels will be mexican asf with spacers, not sure on the legality of making your own, but might be cheaper than getting a full set of Megans from the US. Join me next time for more tales of bad decisions and woe. ( or I will end up selling these wheels to someone, holler If you want em! Haha) -
Brake booster and lines under dash. Legal?
ELEVNS replied to Mitchfromhillcrest's topic in Tech Talk
Just a quick question in regards to this; Would it then be legal to run brake lines from the engine bay, through the firewall (with proper bulkhead fittings) and out to their respective wheel wells ie: brake line tuck? Have heard differing opinions, like I would have to run them inside covers/piping but haven't seen anything about it. -

The only issue I am having with going with a link, is wire in vs plug n play. Would love to have a wire in for future applications, but rewiring the whole car is a big job! (Nothing I cant do). Will be doing a custom engine harness anyway, so I am still on the fence really
