Popular Post Threeonthetree
I also purchased this not so long ago It's a 1959 Morris Minor 1000. The previous owner had installed disc brakes up front. While not even remotely necessary, they do provide a few extra gasps of delight from Morris Minor weirdos enthusiasts when they learn of such high performance modifications. The fuel tank was spiked which is a bit silly really as Morris Minors actually have a bung in the bottom of the tank to allow the fuel to be drained. So I sourced another fuel tank, threw it into the car and managed to get it fired up. It runs and drives rather well. The car now has its front end re-assembled and last night I dropped it off to be used in an upcoming film. Pretty happy that it has ended up paying for itself. The plan is to fix the minor rust and tidy it up a bit, get it road legal, install a tow bar and use it to tow the Morris Minor BBQ Trailer Also, I did a mean one wheel peel in this car last night. Left a mark about a metre long.
Threeonthetree
The car looks a bit better now. Not much though, it's still a Minor. It's even fitted with a 'Country Club' heater unit. It doesn't work.
