Was on trademe cheap, looked fucking amazing, had to have it. So now i do. It runs, it drives, it seems to be complete, Everything ive played with so far works. I know nothing else about it and have only sat in it and backed it off the trailer. Now its bedtime. Will poke it with a stick on the weekend.
keltik
Heres a few snaps from lunchtime. I wonder where those plates are today... Engine bay looks pretty good, no sign of rot in the front end at all. Hoses are all crunchy but the oil/fuel/water is all staying where it should for now. Stereo still works! The fader/balance control is a little joystick down by the drivers knee. You know you've got quality speakers when theres a frequency response chart on the back. BMW foamers would murder for this I'm sure. Original first aid kit. Made in a country that doesnt exist any more. I love that! Interior is pretty good since the seats have had covers for the last 20 years. Foam is breaking apart in the rear but the fronts seem all good. I do love me some brown velour And finally, a snap of it running. Exhaust needs repair but he gave me a nice twin exit stainless muffler for it. http://vid284.photobucket.com/albums/ll33/keltickiwi/20141212_1347521_zpsszjieg1u.mp4
keltik
YOU'LL NEVER GET PARTS FOR IT MATE! Hahaha shut up old man. Ebay! Cant get anything for a 1980s era Subaru but want anything for a 70s BMW or Jag? Piece of cake mate. So cheap! $160USD for the set delivered. Stand by for a tune up, then i think I'm gonna attempt driving it.
keltik
Bad news....the signwriting had to come off. Gotta fix those doors and the tyrepro guy munted it pretty decently when he ripped off his business name. Good news....we have a new color scheme to aspire to. But more likely it will be this color because i dont wanna look like a muppet driving it to work.
keltik
Sadly I have to let this thing go. Common sense has prevailed. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=853101376
