Oh and I forgot while the motor was on the stand I made a side mount power steering pump and altinator bracket. Also rotated the water pump Gilmer pulley and machined up a keyway so it now fits the power steering pump (since I'll be running electric water pump)

Gearbox on!

Decided to bang up a new bash / bumper support bar in the front end since the old one just un bolted I made a new one out of some pipe I had laying around. Also mounted the intercooler off this on a step angle.

Time now for the exhaust manifold!

First off I got the plates cut from 16mm thick 304 stainless steel. Then ordered some s40 bends and some pipe

Reason I went steam pipe stainless instead of mild steel was the fact rotarys run hot. They also create a lot of moister and a mild steel manifold wouldn't last. I've experienced it. The cost initially is more but in the long run it pays off

So I started playing round and ended up with this. Something a bit different and it's probably not the best performance wise or functional but I like it!

The basic run down on the fab of the manifold was the elbow and stub was arc welded with ss rod inner and outer to the main plate then that was machined flat. Then rest of manifold was welded.

The two lower elbows turn inwards towards each other to form a collector which a piece of 75mm pipe was welded on top. Then that was welded to the turbo plate which was then machined flat (turbo is single scroll) then a elbow welded prior to the turbo for the Wastegate

Next mission. The dump pipe!

Basically done a 3" dump with 2.5" wastegate pipe plumbing back

Not a massive fan of external wastegates

Put a separate flex on the Wastegate side and then I'll put a 3" flex after the first flange (using nz made v band flanges under car)

Not a very exciting update but I had to sort out my window wiper setup. Due to one of the front bars clashing with the drivers side.

I decided to run just one wiper from the passenger (center) of the car

Basically just removed the second arm off the motor then reversed the way it ran so it runs from the drivers side back towards the center. Works quite well!

So I started sorting out the water system and oil cooler. I brought a David's Craig alloy electric water pump and controller. I made a bracket and mounted it on a angle (so it doesn't air lock)

Also cut more of the front out to make radiator fit on the angle I wanted. I'm going to weld in a new bit later

Ended up sorting the fuel setup. Got it all off mate of mine who had a drag fc then has recently switched to meth.

Fuellabs pump. Sx filter. Sx regulator

-10 feed to twin feed -8 rails with -6 twin return lines to the regulator. Then -8 back to rear of car. Now just got to sort injectors and make a surge tank
