bobdylan Posted October 16, 2013 Share Posted October 16, 2013 I am in the process of making a dash cluster for my AE82 using a 5inch tach as the centre point much like the old rally cars with a few warning lights and an oil pressure and water temp guage. Trying to keep it simple yet functional and after reading the WOF requirments it needs a speedo. Can i remove the speedo from the stock guage cluster and mount it behind some plastic as a seperate unti and ditch the rest of the stock cluster and if so any idea on how one goes about taking it all apart? Would they accept that at WOF time and I can't seem to locate any specifics about where it needs to be mounted on the dashboard, was thinking about mounting it off to one side like on a yaris/vitz/echo. Does it need to be mounted within a specific area of the dash? Or as long as it is visable to the driver is it classified as ok? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
