Hey guys was asked to extend an invite to anyone who might be interested.

Allan Woolf (Woolfy) is holding a small event at his property (Camp Runamuck) in Stillwater, Auckland on Anzac Day. He is naming the event Ralph Day after his late friend who was also an engineer. In his time Ralph built the Lycoming Special and in his later years also built, using his 1920s - 1930s era lathe, a radial aeroplane engine similar to those used in the 1920s era planes. Due to illness he was unable to assemble the engine so left it to Allan to build. The result is an amazing piece of engineering and something which brings a smile to the faces of young and old. This is the last time people in Auckland will be able to see it started and running as it is being sent to a museum in the South Island.

Woolfy has asked that people bring their old cars along. Bring some picnic type food and drink etc.

The details:

Time: Midday onwards.

Directions:

Heading north along the motorway, turn off at the Silverdale offramp.

Go right at the first roundabout and continue past Kings Plant Barn until you reach East Coast Bays Road.

Turn right onto East Coast Bays road and follow it along until you reach Spur Road.

Left onto Spur Road and follow it down the hill. At the left/right split go right and continue down the hill. After crossing the bridge at the bottom of the hill there will be a small sign or cone on the outside of the next sharp right hand corner next to a driveway. Follow that down into the property and park as directed.

See map below

Hope to see some of you there. If needed give me a call or a txt. David (0212948708)

Cheers
