I used this to haul home a bunch of bits I purchased off Ben which scratched up the floor in the back so Im not using it for that again.

Also the only downside to this is it is a pity if can only carry two others. which is a bit average. Really need something with another row of seats for 6 deep summer cruising.

Would be Ideal

With Kumeu being this weekend, I decided to improve/ change up the look of the van so I put some work in on last Sunday, and every night all week.

As I had reprimed the roof when I had the roof hole patched and the cowl panels repaired I was sick of it being two different colours. So started rubbing it down/stripping it on sunday

and gave it all a fresh coat of primer

and ended up pulling an all nighter thursday to re assemble, and literary bolted the wheels on friday night and left 5 minutes after to get stuck in traffic

And made it friday night to sleep in the back!

So regretfully with the purchase of my dream car, This things up for sale.

Asking price is $8500 ono

Its warranted and registered

I don't really want to sell it but I just haven't got the time or spare funds to have as many long term projects as I do

Oh and the Utility is up for sale as-well for $2500ono. (reg on hold)

I've got a new chassis for it that doesn't have rust in it. It will be re assembled on to that as a roller and will include the 202 and 2x 4 speed gear boxes.

I know if i was gonna keep it it would need drivers floor pan and a small patch in the left hand floor as-well

Also the other original chassis can be included via negations

SO I VANNED TO NATS!
ALMOST 900 ALMOST TROUBLE FREE KM!

decided Thursday morning I was taking this to Nats after VK was put in too hard basket Thursday morning.

Quick last minute checks, and met Punkoutnz and Chris R at ThreeontheTrees to convoy down. Leaked coolant onto his drive, but we nipped up a slightly loose hose clamp and fixed that.

Stopped to pick up some bikes.

Got to Thames trouble free and picked up the essentials.

And arrived and had dinner at one of the finest dining establishments in the area.

By that time, My van had started to sound slightly like a tractor and started to smell like exhaust.

Was surprisingly fun to sling around the twisties though. Suffered from a bit of brake fade at one point but other wise was super fun!

Next day was DIRT TRACK RACING!

When I decided that I was taking the Van, I was a bit skeptical as to how it was going to go So I wasn't overly enthusiastic.

I had to stop for a bit to give it a break after hooning up a hill trying to keep up with some much faster cars. So what better to dio than take a photo.

eventually got to dirt track, emptyed out the back and jumped straight onto the track.

It actually went better than I expected... and sounded the part due to keeping smashing the exhaust on things.

Could hoon it down the straight and just flick/throw it in and it would feel as if it wanted to slide... Until it started coughing and spluttering. I dont think the carb really had the float level set correctly for it and it would starve itself of fuel and once you straightened up it would go back to normal.

WHICH WAS SUPER FUN!
UNTIL THIS HAPPENED.

post-11365-0-07668700-1426929246_thumb.jpg

Turned in and halfway round the corner heard a Reich_Steve_Bang_9.jpg and it sort of dropped and died. I though Id broken something major!

checked and then drove back to pits, I only had one spare so as far as I was concerned that was my day over.

Until Neal gave me his spare and said to go again

So I did.

post-11365-0-54785100-1426929590_thumb.jpg

And then....

post-11365-0-55716300-1426929713_thumb.jpg

I DID IT AGAIN!!

Abit of further investigation and we decided that it the tyre was rolling over that much and contacting the ubolts for the diff.

They were trimmed, and then I fitted my spare and went out and hooned around more!

untill the carb started giving issues on acceleration

By the time we got that sorted, Everyone else had left and the track had closed...

So tested it by attempting to do a b'owt

post-11365-0-40221500-1426930060_thumb.jpg

Suceeded!

And then had the best drive of Nats back to camp with Chris R, Neal, Greg + Mrs Greg, The craziest of tims and mysterious Volvo guy.

It started raining, and we made it back with 10 minutes to spare till dinner!

RESULTS OF WEEKEND

post-11365-0-69913300-1426930913_thumb.jpg

clockwise from right top.

2x tyres split on inside from rubbage

1x broken flapper from being run over when tyres popped. This is what Im most annoyed about.

WACKY RACER AWARD FOR BEING SPECTACULAR AT THE DIRT TRACK! THANKS GUYS!

1x open headers from smashing exhaust in things through out the weekend. I didnt realise just how loud it was till I pulled off the motorway near home to get coffee and it echoed off the buildings

MAN IT WAS LOUD.
