BenVallance
Hello, I am looking about the best way to get low and adjustable with coilovers but am wanting to know the best way to do it for this type of car. If anyone else has had experience with the suspention in these? I was recommended a BC coil over package for an ae86 but doesnt seem legit to me because they would be half the weight. So any ideas give me a shout please Cheersssss Ben
BattleSnayke
I think i've heard that MX73 coilovers will fit? BC make a kit for them. Only problem is, good luck getting them certified at the moment. It seems to be pretty luck of the draw at the moment with getting coilovers certed that have needed welding. BenVallance
Yea mate the ae86 ones have the spindle on them so you only need to bolt the hub on but ahh cant you get anyhting that would bolt up?
durty
It's not really luck. If they are welded in the right way then it is just a case of getting it crack tested and sweet as to cert it
durty
If there is nothing off the shelf just make your own coil overs? //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/29372-seedy-als-guide-to-home-made-coil-overs-56k-u-r-fucked/
BenVallance
Hard out mate thats AWESOME! but so much cutting and shit is it safe if in the future I wanted to upgrade power?
durty
Will be fine. As long as you weld decent etc. Can make it as strong as you want etc
ryanfels
Im pretty sure the MX73 BCs dont come with a spindle attached, they are the old slip-over-and-weld style but they may be a little tall for the 61s. If you can find some old BC reds, S13 ones if possible. I would do that if i was you

ryanfels
8s will be fine. The BC rear springs wont fit anyway. You want to get some Ford Sierra wagon rear springs for the back
BenVallance
I have springs from a Mitsubishi Sigma wagon that I got from a wreck at pick a part i was going to cut the top coil that coils inwards so it would fit and use that for the back. What do you think?
