Bling
Looking to get a couple of sections fixed on the escort next year. Firstly at the front of a chassis rail where it meets the front panels there is rust. This will need a bit of metal replace the rusty sandwich. Secondly is a bit of panel work on a rear wheel arch that follows the line of the rear door. May need to be pushed and pulled a bit. Some metal will need to be welded in. Bread and butter for a panel beater, so hoping to get some good recommendations on who to go and see. Out Hornby side of town would be ideal. Not after the cheapest fix (I can do that, also not after apprentices to learn how to weld on my car) but would prefer to pay someone a fair amount to get rid of the headache for me. Car is currently stripped (mostly) and on wheeled frame. Taking it to a shop is doable, but i'd rather get some recommendations first. Then go from there. Anyone do this for a living and want some $$$$? Have gear to do it at home, just not the experience. Failing that, keen to hear where you have had good experiences from with old cars.
