My new (old) MK2 Escort Panel Van

Recommended Posts

Hi all my name is Dwayne, just joined.

I scored this off some friends the other week. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE, PLEASE FIRE AWAY!

It needs A LOT of work, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel. It's got a 2.0L Cortina motor in it but will need to be ripped out as it just doesn't fit right. Has no plates or tags so I'm just doing my homework before I spend any money on it.

Plans, however would be to get it sandblasted first, patch up the rust with new metal and bring out the dents. paint it a nice forest green colour with original chrome redone, and custom interior with bucket seats. We shall see.

Here are some photos.

Tell me what you think.

Cheers.
