mjrstar Posted August 5, 2013 Share Posted August 5, 2013 Good progress man, I would be a little bit worried (even with the glue on it) that the frost plug blanking of the balance shaft hole could come adrift with the difference in thermal expansion. I have had great success heating aluminium castings to remove pressed in bearing outer races, get to ~ 100 degrees the the outer races just fall out. I'd hate for that plug to come out.
