Brennan
-Chapter 6- Received my Cert plate after the recheck. Got a WOF and paid the rego. long story short i had to get the struts crack tested again. Apparently now it needs to be done by somebody with qualifications in crack testing. Have been driving it ever since. Also managed to score some Pioneer ts-x8, Few dents but otherwise pretty mint and sound great. Hopefully have a few more goodies arrive from Japan shortly. Brennan
Had some new nolathane rod ends made up for the trailing arms on the diff. Here is one i already had on the front of the lower trailing arms. I now have a pair on the top and bottom of the front of the 4 links. Hopefully this relieves some of the stresses in the arms and make them less noisy. In slightly scarier news. It seems to have used over half a tank (~25litre) and only traveled 60Km. :/

Brennan
Went for another dyno tune today, to try sort this excessive fuel issue. After spending the morning checking everything and trying to find the reason why it was not running right when leaner. We figured out that there was only 20psi coming from the fuel pump, when it should be 40+ So will have to pull the tank out tomorrow to see what sort of pump the electrician put in the tank. And try work out why it is so weak. No driving for me anytime soon.
Brennan
We got the pump out. It's a Walbro 5ca400. 12v and 50psi (just found out factory altezza needs 62psi, so thats a pretty shit start.) It is receiving 12v and 3.8Amps from the car. And got to 20psi on a gauge when we tested it in car. So we hooked a car battery straight onto the pump and it still only went to 20psi. So my old man is going to see the electrician with the pump tomorrow. does this sound accurate?? from http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/77433-3sge-beams-altezza-fuel-pressure 62 stock with returnless. i've dropped mine down to 40ish psi with a return line. Brennan
So it turns out there was a split in the hose, off the pump, inside the fuel tank. Cant believe it took so long to find it. Need to put the tank back in then go back to Keith's to finish the tune. In other news, im very thankful for making the sump guard for it... May need patches soon.

Brennan
loooong time no update. Went back to the above location with the dslr. Got the following result Not much else has changed, wheels are 14x7j +12 Front & 0p Rear Had to "daily" this for a couple of weeks, is a bit noisy. Still just the TS-X8 in the back for music, and seem to be going pretty good. not sure if i should hunt out some 6" vintage pioneer for the front doors, or go new school. Oh and made a whooping 110kw on the last dyno run, bit better than previous 95kw at the wheels. Definitely quick enough & a handful when i want it to be.

Brennan
Today I did a bit of reshaping on the front spoiler. It looks much better now. Just not sure im sold on how it looks on the car. And its a bit dodgy exiting the driveway. discussion; //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/31343-brennans-ke70-corolla-3sge-beams-powered/page-16

Brennan
Had a chat with Techno Toy Tuning last week. Ended up with these beautiful stainless spacers for the Corolla's 4-link rod ends. The idea was to try and get rid of some of the irritating rattles coming from my current aluminium spacers. Got them installed, back down on the ground and went for a drive. But she now had an epic squeak coming from somewhere underneath. ARRGH Turns out I had done them up to tight. Loosened them of, and it seems to be great now. In other news My Overalls have arrived. Ready for if i make it to a track day one day! Up next; Sound deadening? Lightweight single piece flywheel?? Locker???

Also picked up this TRD flywheel thanks to CaMpylobacter and Henry. 50% lighter than the factory dual mass piece.

Brennan
Sweet day out in this yesterday. Drive from Ashhurst to Pongaroa Pub. Went well. Back roads can be a bit rough. Little worried about seeing the underside next time its on a hoist. And need to look into a rear sway bar, and a larger one on the front. As she is a bit twitchy in the corners. Stolen from @_Matt Timelapse of the trip there. (blame youtube for the shittyness even at 1080p...) Stolen from @Seedy Al
Brennan
Long time no updates, Been trying to drive this as much as possible. Slowly collecting parts that shall be fitted soon, such as rear TRD sway bar, TRD lightweight flywheel, OEM period correct fog lamps and some ke30 Lower control arms, which are longer so should provide a little more camber. The list of other things i need, like seats, lsd/locker and clutch, keeps growing, but sadly funds cant provide.
