1vaknd
okay so my holiday to nz finished this weekend. has to be the best holiday ive ever had! car, cars, cars, panelbeating, oldschooling, yarns and the best bunch of GC's, oh and racing! had a really good time catching up with lots of like minded mates. got the cahnce to do some work on the kp whilst i was in nz and as some of you know i even made it to pukekohe for some more testing! first things first though i made it into gt refinishers to get a little more done on the underbody and a bit of strengthening done. once that was sorted i got on to susing out the missing issue. first thig first was to examine condition of fuel and flow from the pump. fuel was stale and pump had shat itself proceeding taupo, very minimal flow! took the walbro out and sent it of to get tested, after a being mucked around slightly i decided to splash out and buy a newbie. put it in and attempted some minor street testing. in doing this i needed a passenger to test for boost leaks as i swore it was to noisy inside the car, after a bit of mucking around i finaly found that the intercooler had the mounting holes on the sides that went straight through to the inside of the intercooler,(doooooohhhhHHHHH) blocked them of then in typical subaru ecu fasion it was even worse. reset the computer then away we went, happy as larry! everything seemed all well and good and ready for the track! basically it ran really well for 3 laps the would block the pre-filter to the pump so would do 3 laps then pit clean filter and head back out , so on and so forth till i was out of gas. all in all im very pleased at how well it went round puky considering i still had no rear brakes and was only boosting 5 psi. cant wait till next time round as i know what i need to sort the last few things out. anyway, enough jiberjaba time for pics In dire need of a wing the walk of shame after geting stranded on the back straight after said fueling issue

1vaknd
and what little photos i have of the tube frame rebuild i was very thankful to know some one who had a flat front kp fully stripped waiting for me to go and take measurements to ensure my front end would end up with the same kp geometry. the decision to tube frame was made the monday night after all this wall hitting stuff happened, i managed to cut the front end off down to the rails the next day and then spent the rest hunting down tube and box section to rebuild. the wednesday and thursday were left to get the job done. friday morning all that was left to do was lock the spare diff and head down to taupo for the club-k tenth aniversary track dayon saturday. all to turn around and come back up for hori dori ten on sunday here is a couplke of picks of it back out in action

1vaknd
okay. so here is the final product. still a fair bit of work to do but its all sealed up ready for the last few bits to be sorted then one day in the future i may get it into final paint! as you can see. the swages need a fair amount of attention still, but ill get there. have more big plans now that the tube frame is finalized. basically i can lower the motor another 80mm now so i will be making a new cross member to suit an after market rack of some discription (todd/boost+k insert opinion here!) whilst doing that i will be making up a new exhaust manifold to suit a VF twin scroll turbo. finish off the intake manifold and get a link g4 wired in. lets hope it all goes at a steadfast pace while also trying to get my new ke25 project daily road legal
