dirty30rolla Posted March 23, 2011 Share Posted March 23, 2011 hey im putting an sr20det into my ke30 , i am shaving off the external fuel inlet and removing old fuel tank , new aluminium one is in the post and i have a walbro 550hp pump , if i drop mount the fuel cell will i need a surge tank? and if i do need or get a surge tank what pump should i use between fuel tank and surge tank? my target horse power is around 300-350, if you could help or post links to a newzealand site that sells the pump im looking for that would be great Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mjrstar Posted March 23, 2011 Share Posted March 23, 2011 depending on how good the baffling is in the new aluminium tank you may not need to run a surge tank.. If you are looking for that extra safety margin to prevent surge, a carter lift pump would do the trick... http://www.greenbrothers.co.nz/Products.html No point in melting a piston or 2 because you ran the tank a bit low...
