Zeb's Toyota MX63 Wagon......

Right, so it occoured to me the other day (just before christmas to be honest) that Im not going to get the crown done in time for wag nats, to much stuff needs sorting etc

So seeing as there is no way I could miss the best wagon event of the year, and being a member of the wagoneers, I had to get a wagon sorted by end of jan

Hence this

Its a 1981 Toyota Cressida wagon.

Rocks a 5m (lol)

Auto, electric windows blah blah

Oh and a sweet radio

Anyway it seems to tick all the right boxes for a quick wagon fix.

the plan,

Slam, wheels, make it look better, fender mirrors, wagon time.

So some pics etc

The day I got it pretty much

P1121213.jpg

P1121210.jpg

P1121211.jpg

P1121215.jpg

As you can see, the shape is pretty uninspiring

And since then have been doing little things

Started to sort out the front struts, going to make some coil overs for super slam

P1121212.jpg

P1121219.jpg

Got some 14 x 7.5 and 8's with 185/55 tires to go on

P1121207.jpg

P1121208.jpg

P1121209.jpg

Also removed the factory mirrors from the doors to fit fender mirrors

P1121220.jpg

P1121222.jpg

P1121223.jpg

And removing the mud flaps and inner guards becasue they are gay

P1121224.jpg

Also my old work mate has a sedan in at my work that he is going to derby, so have grabbed a few things, chrome that goes around the wheel arches and around the windows, and also the bumper strips that rock down the doors

P1101205.jpg

P1101206.jpg

(currently on my wheels, which to be honest would be awsome slammed as thw two seem to go together so well)

So yea, will keep you posted

So coil overs are underway (look for a tech article coming soon)

And got busy and mounted the wing mirrors

So tomorrow depending should have one coil over pretty much done, and might also look at getting the CB all mounted and wired

Check that shit like its 1987

So jam'd on some more chrome, mainly around the Window frames and guards, mild differences that when combined make a huge difference

So whats next.

Well, probabaly going to make an Adjustable Pan hard rod, make sure the springs in the rear are working properly and make adjustable Lower front arms, then get a cert.

Oh and probabaly improve the exhaust a bit so it doesnt look so lame

Just the usual dual Ups

Total gay update

Have a new drive shaft being made right now

Turns out since I slammed it old single piece was too long and liked to mash ot self into gear box.

Crazy thing is. got one price to get shaft made....

$380

I told them not keen on the price

Went to another place $they quoted $150

I have no doubt that the place for $380 would have done an amazing job/ perfect.

But its not race car, so for the $220 less. im sure i Will be happy

No pics though

So slowly working on this to get ready for a cert, now that there are no wagon needed events in the distant future

So seeing as I am getting cert, decided i best get a few things covered while i'm there

So just did this for the rear to line up the diff

Converted this

to this

Look for the Tech thread on how to do you own in the near future.

Also have pulled out the front lower arms to make adjustabe for a bit of camber.

just need to go talk to the cert guy to make sure my plan is all good.

had a wheel alighment done on this finally after lowering it and did A little bit of work today

Fixed the Gear lever so It can show the correct gear it is on etc

And washed it, which was yay.

Pretty much getting it ready for cert later next week,

and once thats done its pretty much sell time, just need to figure out my other set of rims, which need some painting and machining etc to end up spiffing.

And the trans is slipping in second, will start looking for another box now and see what pops up.

then after cert its wof time.

So consider this a bit of an Expression of interest.

$3600 with cert, wof and reg.

On 14x7 and 14x8 volk mesh wheels with miss matched 185/55/14's

Coil overs and new shocks all round

Um, what else, ask I guess haha

If i havnt fixed the trans by the time someone is keen, will be $3350

Heres the two bitch's together, oh, arnt they cute

These are the wheels i getting ready for it, basicly two back halfs joined

Going to be heading round to the machinests on monday and see if I can get a beading grove machined in, and also have the lip cleaned up for polishing,

However I am un sure on polishing, i kinda like the satin alloy finish on the wheels that are on the car now.... but then again, polished might make it crazy awesome!

Mint, just past a cert no problems at all so that is freaken win

So should have a plate in a week,

might go take it down for a wof now to see what it might fail on, fix those and then have it sorted by end of week, besides trans :/

these are the 14x7's to match the 8's i'm cleaning up

just polished the crap out of the lips, so they are pretty.

i have some sand blasted centers kicking around so will paint those black during the week and get some stainless cap screws.

then they should be done!

kinda shiny, but no overly, to much time rolling on the back of Joe's trump i think haha

IMG_6664.jpg

Bland

IMG_6665.jpg

After a heck load of polish, cleaning, and sanding round the mounting flange, bit different compared to the other thats for sure

IMG_6666.jpg

And the two all done and pretty

Yeah driving it this last week has been sketchy at the best of times haha, driven it nearly 2,000km since I picked it up from ya.

Keen to get cert on so I can fuck with it some more in confidence.

But yeah it's sweet as fuck
