Just got this a couple of weeks ago

wanted a cheap runabout, found this and talked the guy down to 800bucks

Front tug auto, which i said id never buy, but at least its a mk2 golf

and it runs sweet, cheap and with a couple of mods

should look a whole lot better,

First on the list was to rip the rubber and plastics of the sides

Worst of the rust

Rodeo could almost pass as a Vdub

Wasnt a wof issue, but mite aswel cut it out

2nd on the list, paint the wheels

one of the biggest things i hate about this car is that its and auto, and 2nd that its red

So a mate mixed up a heap of paint left overs in his spray booth,

added sum flating base...

and you get Matt Brown

still wasnt sure on the colour

then we black inked the bumpers

The black bumper help break up the brown (which kinda has too much purple init, but was free)

Have since painted all the rims, and colour has defintly grown on me

something different to all the matt black rides i own, and see every where

plans are to slam after wof, which is next week i think

found the rims i want at my vdub mech.

that will do me for now

but future plans to put a manual G-box in

Oh so this was yours I saw at manfield.

Awesome. I'm surprised at the rust! Mine had none and I thought that was normal.

Mine was auto as as well. 3 speed 4 life.

Used to pull it into second at 90k to pass people and when it wouldn't rev anymore hit 3rd.

Never blew it up even with a shrunk and badly knocking piston haha.

I lowered mine 40mm then it cooked the front shocks and locked up the rear brakes because of bias valve.

Mean.

Love the paint.
