Alright..

I have an aftermarket in my Mk2, duno who installed it ect as it came with the car..

Problems with it are:

My car aparently idles at 1K rpm

When i take off the tacho runs around to 4K and stops, though if you set shift lite to 5-6K it lights up..

Any ideas on how to sort this?

Or better off getting a new tach?

Yeah, theres a 3 part switch on the back, but some dumb ass removed the rear casing so all the internals are free for attack and i duno know whats 4cyl, 6 cyl and 8..

Its a Specometer, dosent look too bad as it dosent have a shift light the size of a cuban cigar
