I finally got a Datsun, even if its a hilarious failure, and barely deserves the Badge on the back...

Seeing as Im selling the Cortina to Fund the Escort, I had to get a crack-up daily built before 1983.

Then I remembered my old flatmate from CHCH had this...half an hour later, it was mine!

I remember sitting in it ages ago, and it was pretty mint.

Its had a new Headgasket, radiator, W.O.F.

Plans are to slam it out, remove mudflaps, add pimp mirrors, white-walls, Tartain rug upon rear seat, and a set of beaded seat covers up front. Throw in some minor doof-doof so I dont have to listen to the (E13?) front-tugging along.

I wonder what chrome bumpers i can mash onto it?

Drove from CHCH to LX no worries, heat stayed fine, 600km to a tank of motion potion.

Installed a Stereo, Polished the chrome last nite, tidied up some bits, De-badged the hatch..

Plans to slam it this weekend, maybe re-paint some black areas, vaccum it out.

Cut 1.7 coil from front and 1 from rear (All on edge of captivity), removed the Black stickers off the sill, changed a badge and did a Handbrakie..Lush

(im on a lean, not the car!!)

Its still fail, but maybe under 100mm at lowest point, so it will suffice.

Ill fill the holes in the back panel and re-paint black along with window frames..
