Hemi Posted October 29, 2009 Share Posted October 29, 2009 Just been reading classic ford mag and they say that there are 2 different block widths for the crossflow. 681, 691 blocks are narrower than the 711m block. The numbers are the first 3 numbers of the block number. If it is a narrower block it will sitting lower so you may need a longer mount to suit the narrower block. Sorensin Posted November 2, 2009 Author Share Posted November 2, 2009 I went and checked a couple things on my car in the weekend, the engine is a 711 block and I have the right mounts on the correct sides, which only leaves me with the thought I have the wrong sump.
