gearing questions

in my stockcar im gonna be using a hilux surf p/s box.

this will be mounted on a pedestal kind of thing,on the end where the pitman arm bolts on it has been converted to a shaft with a drop arm out the side...

now, in a stocky you want slightly quicker steering.....

i think most people go 2:1 steering by using timing gears and chain off some old school engine..

what i want to know or have been thinking of is there is an old m-bike frame sitting in my shed, i think its an old yammy as theres a 125 sitting there too ( for sale??? maybe)...

the gears on it are a 51 tooth on the rear wheel and a 14 on the engine...

if i could use this it would make it a 3.6:1 is this right????

i suck at maths....

would this make the steering basically 1/4 turn centre to lock on the wheel???

or somewhere near that anyway..

or would it just make the steering feel heavy?

up for deals swapping the bike engine for timing gears etc...
