Josh
Right long story short, capri started, timing was out, mean sorted. Leave it a couple days and go to start it again and it doesn't start. Check everything, even spark plugs, and I see spark. Took it to the auto sparky to take a look, turns out the spark plugs have shorted out apparently, hardly ever happens he said, and it's when the spark, sparks off to the side of the electrode. Ok so replace the spark plugs, bang, she fires up no problem. Try again next day, sweet started again no problem. Try it a week later, and it's just turning over again and not starting. I haven't tried putting yet more plugs in it yet to confirm they shorted out gain or whatever but that's what it must be. So question is, does anyone know why it's doing this? engine is running really rich at the moment, I'm hoping that is probably the reason? Motor is a 2L efi turb pinto
