d.p.n.s Posted June 30, 2008 Author Share Posted June 30, 2008 ok so here she is 1976 mk2 wagon 1300 cc of power i think im about the 100th owner the rego is on hold and the last wof was 21/5/2002 so picked it up last night for a bargan price...... its all there the engine bay has been sort of stripped back to metal there is rust in normal places,the heater bubble has been removed already but is still in good condition to put back on. all the parts are in the boot the engine is fuked so the guy tells me. so the big plane is................ sort out rust in engine bay and left rear wheel well. prime and paint engine bay white.... or blue see whats wrong with the motor and put it all back in unless i can find a cheap 1300/1600 give it a wee bit of a clean and put it threw for a wof. heres some pics so there you go a mint wee wagon Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
d.p.n.s Posted July 4, 2008 Author Share Posted July 4, 2008 ok so yesterday i thought i would have a look at the old girl and see where to start. so i got all the rust done in te engine bay, i had some old black paint left over so i just sprayed the bay so it looked cleaner and theres a bit of paint on the bear metal. then i started to put all the brakes and booster back in as well as puting the box on the engine and putting the motor all back together as well as getting it all back in the bay. so today ill try and get it wired up and see if it will start. there was shit loads of oil in the exhaust manifold so the rings are probly fuked. but ill see. cheers dan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
d.p.n.s Posted July 10, 2008 Author Share Posted July 10, 2008 sorry all not much of an update. but my wife and myself have been thinkin about what to do with the wagon and she said that she would like it for herself. so she wants something nice reliable and easy to drive so i told her to buy a jappa lol no we have decided on somthing differant sr20de auto i know it sounds silly but i like the idea and the motor and box are pretty cheap as everyone wants turbo manual. repaint (havnt realy chose a colour yet) lowered a wee bit re cover the original seats and dorr cards and dash new carpet nice sounds nice set of rims(dont know yet) but all will have to wait till we move so i can have a bigger garage but want do you guys think of the planes so far? d.p.n.s Posted July 28, 2008 Author Share Posted July 28, 2008 just a wee update... couldnt get the motor to start i think its fuckied and seeing the oil that came from the motor when were tryed to get it going confirmed it for me so we are moving to a bigger house (bigger garage) in 3 weeks so ill get in to stripping the car down for a full rebiuld then. so heres a few things ive picked up for the wagon i managed to a mk2 escort tunnel and complete shifter (im still going with making it auto and trying to make it look factory inside) as well as pedal box $80 i was going to go for a sr20de auto but...... i found a almost complete ca18de set up i got the motor,auto trans,complete loom.ecu,afm,recon radiator ect ect for $250 like i said ill start to stip it when we move cheers dan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

d.p.n.s Posted September 1, 2008 Author Share Posted September 1, 2008 just a small update well we moved into a bigger place over the last few weeks and it has a bigger garage (fukin yeha) i managed to get all 3 escorts in there lol i also started to have a look at the mk2 wagon and managed to get most of it stripped out today. and the florrs seem to be in realy good condition the left rear wheel well is fucked if i put a wheel in there it would just fall out. the mk2 looks like a monster truck next to my van now theres no weight to it ok so next chance i get ill finish stripping it and put it on the spit so i can start the under side. cheers dan talk shit here viewtopic.php?f=18&t=14735 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
d.p.n.s Posted September 12, 2008 Author Share Posted September 12, 2008 ok boys and girls just a little update got the wagon on the spit was a bit of a pain in the arse by myself but the engine hoist allways works as a extra person lol i also finished stripping all the bits and bobs of the underside and then started to strip all the underseal off i managed to get most of one side done and i must say so far so good rust wise so once ive got it stripped im going to fix any rust then im going to por15 the underside then seam seal itbefor i stone gaurd it and then finaly paint it the same colour as the topside aswell as a few coats of clear then thats the underside done proble take me a month or 2 to get it done lol cheers dan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
