Rusted
A bit bored and haven't posted up a topic for my main reason in getting the OS condition. New engine to be dropped in. QR20DE. Some cool specs for these engines. Micropolished crank, QR design is similar the superb Cosworth BDA 2-liter engine but much much improved for naturally aspirated, BDA style valve actuation, s2000 style ladder sump with mains, 1.9 stroke ratio, 8500 rpm redline. All standard. 110kg weight, a little light on power at 150hp be I have a wager in place to br the first to break 200hp against a nice SR20DE build up of a mates. As far as I have looked into it, this convertion hasn't been made RWD. Some I am in for some fun. Working out the details for some of these ATM. The car has bits of rust all over, owning a few to many cars doesn't help out in time or money. Plans are for a dark coat of gloss paint, unsure which colour yet. Custom tail lights or USDM rear lamps. Haven't though to much into it to be honest. Brushed ally inserts where the 'wood' look stuff is, Brushed ally finishing instead of chrome, brass detailing underhood. Rear diff floor to be cut and raised 1-2inches so I can get it sitting low without mad camber and straining the diff. Later model R32 or sim diff, rack and pinion steering, either gas hatch to be removed to boot or 'Motorbike' attachment fitted. Maybe a drop tank, or 25litre tank in the rear. The whole car is getting re-lumed as much hiden as possible. Some nice large as 14's will fit Vented disc's all around. Am seriously considering rolling the guards right out to remove the 'Bulge and tuck' and just end up with all steel flares. QR will be basic mods, Extractors, pod, 2" 'Haust, Lumpy cam, one balance shaft removed and aftermarket ECU.
