Yup, there it is, shitty pics I know.

A slight amount of progress, pretty much all panelled up.

To Do:

Paint- a bold "ferrari" red.

Lower it- "understatement"

Wheels- something oldschool with a bit of dish

Motor- swayed away from the rx4 13b idea, searching out a 13b turb now.

And of course all the other shite that I just dont want to think about right now.

So yeah, no cunt cares but no skin off my nose, Rocked to Chch in the weekend, Sam (bandit) good cunt that he is, took me out to mazfarm where I got my manual pedalbox etc and some mint levin seats.

Picked up some 14x7 spitties with good tyres, not as dished as I would like but better than a kick in the pants at this stage.

Took the wagon for a thrash, stripped down no windows and single headlight styles. Discovered the 1800 auto does do skids, chortled.

Going to make a new front panel to set the indicators into so I can go bumperless etc.

Got it to give me semi decent pics, shot in night-mode so still pretty average..

Bumper or bumperless? I'm swaying towards fabing up a panel to hold the indicators and going bumperless. Opinions?

A little update:

2inch lowering blocks, Dumpy and extractors on their way.

Gonna reset leaves as well and get it nice and low..

Have already massacared guards to fit wheels, gotta go buy some steel to finish the flares.

Levin seats and gauges going in. Gotta go get some sounds and the paint.

At this stage just gonna leave it piston as my new daily once its done, may swap it to manual at some stage.

Lowering blocks in, Its looking pretty sacked at the back and pretty rancid at the front... Gotta go get some brackets welded on my mint new dumpy which has arrived along with my 30% tints. 2inch extractors for the 1800 are still yet to come. Pulled seats out and found an amazing array of shit including heaps of late 70's canadian coins...

As seats are mint I might just spray the brown vinyl black and keep my levin seats for the mazda 1000 ute I bought off Bandit/Mutiny/Sam.

I wish I knew how to change my username.

One flare is done and looks good, about an inch further out and an inch lower than standard.

Gotta track down another headunit when I get some more cash so I can get into my sounds etc.

Just weighing up front suspension and brake options now.

So yeah, no one probably read this, back to masturbating wildly over child pornography/ work.

Some new toys arrived.

extractors which are pretty shit condition, luckily I am currently flexing the daughter of a private sandblaster so shall tee up some cheap blasting on them.

West side. An update for the countless few of you out there who care...

Car completely stripped barr dash, body all ready to paint on the outside.

Front guards pumped out by half an inch on both sides, rears flared out about an inch or so and about an inch lower.

Front springs cut to edge of captivity, 2 inch blocks in the back with extra long Ubolts ofr after I've gotten a WOF. front will come down more too with rx7 or shortened struts when I get around to it.

nardi woodgrain wheel on and 30% tints on windows south of the front seats.

Pioneer 6"s in back, putting pioneer 6"s in front doors and subwoofer in boot. Gotta get a headunit.

Polished up my spitties and have put whitewall flappers on them, look cool on low-pros.

All I've gotta do its go get some dolphin glaze to fill a few pin holes and go buy my primer and paint.

I've been amazed at the state of the car when I've been stripping things out. Absolutely mint.

Got paint, cant be fucked with photos but lets just say I couldnt help but giggle at how bright it looked in the can when he brought it out.

Gonna paint it within the next few days I hope, tis all prepped and washed ready for it.

Got a new headunit as well so project will be almost completed in the next week or so!

Update:

Its painted, turned out pretty fucking red and glossy, not a great paintjob but I'm still stoked with it, did sills and shuts as well.

JVC headunit is in, MP3 etc seems good value for money, got my 6"s in the back and I've still gotta hunt down some for component speakers and a sub and amp.

Still gotta tint my back boot side windows but that'l happen in due course,

I've decided to go with the bumper and as per MESDUP's suggestion I've cut and shut an inch out of the bumper irons to bring it closer to the body and done away with the front bumper apron thing.

Still havent put my dumpy on but I've polished all my chrome trim ready to stick back on when the paints a bit harder in a few days time.

I'm starting to try and sort out the interior which is going to be a mission as there is a shitload of trim pieces and I hate those little plastic clips but I'll get there. May actually put my levin seats in after all

Went and spent up on motor maintainence shit at repco too, gotta hunt down some steering ball joints which I fear is going to be a cunt of a job...

Anyways I dont have a camera at the moment so I've only got one pic off my sisters shitty nokia, doesn't really display the paints "fuck-off-brightness" factor though.

Well its almost done, and I'm fucking stoked.

I'm finding it amazing that I cant really think of anything else I want to do to it, usually projects never finish but with the exception of lowering it further I will leave it pretty much as is. Its definately not mint but I've bought and built the entire thing for less than the price of half of you guy's ICE installs...

I still have to:

Replace front balljoints

Put wipers and windscreen chrome on

Rear quarter reflectors

Chrome skirting sills on the RHS

Tint rear windows and boot, reassemble boot.

Put all windows back

Door cards and seats

Put dumpy on.

Then SORTED.

Gonna retry warrant tomorrow after I get my 2inch exhaust built in the morning. 2inch off extractors through one bullet and a dumpy. Will be fun driving it across town in the morning with only the extractors...

Tidied engine, way more to do but painted cam cover in VHT "wrinkle plus" black, turned out pretty good. also did extractors in high temp white.

Put cobra springs in the front to hopefully get wof, we shall see.

Old man got new camera. Pretty "snazzy".

Painted wheels and put hubcaps with mazda wheels trims on my escort. Had to weld little bits of rod around the wheels for them to clip over.

Started building new motor for wagon.

MA 2000cc block with mint bores painted bright red to match car

New chromoly race rings/bigends/mains

Alloy head cleaned up and ported

High lift camshaft

Intake manifold ported out

2" extractors into full 2" system with one bullet muffler and dumpy

Havn't chosen carb yet

New performance leads/plugs and heavy duty earthing straps

5 Speed Box!

Got new anodised radiator catch tank with chrome fittings and oil breater filters etc, Might try hide some wiring.

I wanna run an SC12 supercharger in a blowthrough configuration, At this stage I'll probably just put it back together with a single head gasket and no charger till I know exactly what I'm doing.

Getting new shocks at some stage with shortened struts etc, should be fun till I scrape...

Also put fusion 6.5"s in back and am putting my pioneers 6"s in the front footwells, got a flocked black dash cover thing too which looks mint.

Already hearing people talking bout my car haha.

New motors in and goes mint.

specs are:

198* Mazda 626 2L ohc.

Block all painted up in red, black wrinkle effect used on rocker cover

New ACL chromoly rings

Crank ground out 20thou over with new big ends/mains

Taller profile cam

Double valve springs

Ported head and inlet manifold

Extractors painted in white with high heat paint

Full 2 inch system with one bullet muffler and dumpy(fucking loud, will quieten)

5speed later model 929 gearbox (Yuss)

Sounds nice and lumpy when idling and is fucking stupidly loud when you rev it out. Took it through town today, got followed by someone wanting to buy it and had people giving me the devils horns and waving everywhere. Celeb etc. Most would probably thing its a monster ported RX3.

Will chuck up some pics tomorrow if I get around to it.
