v3k
This is on my daily - my v3000 The engine sounds like not all cylinders are firing. I put a timing light around each lead and I got spark along the full length of each one, except number 1 cylinder. I have checked the resistance of the lead, its about right (well its about 2/3 of the one thats its 2/3 the length of). Does this mean I might have a poor contact in my dizzy? Is there any way to check how well the rotor is connecting? It just seems to me that the voltage being delivered down the lead is not high enough. Any insights/ hints and tips would be great! isnowi
v3000, they run a wasted spark ignition dont they? 3 coilpacks? could be a problem with one of the coilpacks, although because each coil fires 2 different cylinders, you would most likely find another cylinder lacking spark too. If that is the system you have you could try swapping coils and seeing if the fault moves too?
